I wouldn't say things are looking up though. Have y'all seen his comments after his AU visit? He's about the most committed non-commit I've ever seen. He was essentially talking like he was already committed.

The odds of him ending up at UGA are better than they were a week ago, so they're looking up.

He hasn't actually visited UGA as a recruit yet. I'll reserve further comment until that happens.

Just like any other fan of a team. I'm happy we finally offered. I'm happy that we have his cousin committed to play for UGA. I'm happy that he has two other teammates with UGA offers and I'm happy that his former coach whom he is high on might work for UGA. Those are the things I'm looking at. Same as most others would be if the roles were reversed. I'm not saying he's coming to UGA just that some good things are starting to work in our favor.

Coming off a visit? I'm stunned, kids never do that. And yes, I've read the article.

While it doesn't sound good for UGA, he hasn't committed to you guys, has he? I won't be overly confident in him until he comes in for a visit due to how we waited so long to offer. If we get him on campus for a visit though, things will likely change quickly for him.

Why were y'all so late in offering him?

Well the last staff sucked and probably just hadn't bothered to get around to it and then realized they weren't going to be here so didn't bother. Though Oliviadotti did still call Colbert, IIRC.

As for the Pruitt staff, I really don't know other than they were busy just getting acclimated and were evaluating where he would fit within this defense and in the numbers in this class.

He shouldn't take it as a slight, it isn't like Pruitt didn't like him. He offered him at FSU back in December.

How many safety's is UGA looking to sign this cycle? I know y'all took like 4 or 5 either last year or the year before.

Honestly not sure, to be safe I'd say two and a hybrid CB/S. It could be totally different though, it doesn't sound like Pruitt likes any of them though so I wouldn't actually be shocked if he just ran everyone off and took like 6 in this class.

We apparently wanted to offer him face to face but he kept having scheduling conflicts with visits.

Y'all can't have Roundtree

He's even said he's been recruiting for us and trying to build a "Seahawks like" defense.

18 year old kids say a lot of things. He also called the UGA offer an "gamechanger".

If Tree goes anywhere else his Daddy will probably be out of a job.

In this day and age. Commitments dont mean anything, till the pen hits the paper. Russell was committed to UGA. Went to Auburn. Jordan Jenkins was really and truly a Bama Lock. Went to UGA. Evans was considered an Auburn lean. Went to Bama. But yeah, consider kids "the most committed non-commit". Let me know how that works.

Why do we care when we get commitments if they mean nothing? Maybe it's because a large majority of the kids that commit, actually stay committed. To say commitments mean nothing is a gross exaggeration.

I'm not saying he's an AU lock just that's he's a heavy AU lean. Anything can happen but all signs point to Auburn right now.

Why do you care that UGA fans get excited when he says some good things about UGA?

I've seen this rhetoric about alot of kids. Everyone is an AU lean and a Bama lock. We have been over this. Stop regurgitating it.

Hes the most committed uncommitted prospect of ALL TIME. I guess our coaches should just quit.
