Not really even a VOL fan. I watch GA Southern. If I had to pull for a SEC team I'd like to see TN win. I grew up in the 90's and I also saw how respectful a program TN had and they whipped damn near everyone they played. I knew going into a game TN was probably gonna win. It's funny cuz when you grw up in the 90's you know why these teams have such a hatred for TN and love to try to bash them. They finally have the chance and they try to make the most of it lol... I can tell you if the VOLS keep Butch and let him keep recruiting they will be back. Cuz Saban is leaving soon. Richt is gonna get fired soon. Those programs make some slip up in the hiring process and they might get a little karma thrown their way. I live in GA and they have the most obnoxious, clueless football fans in all of college football. More than 80% of their fanbase rarely even knows who the QB of the team is lol.. It's hilarious. They are delusional thinking Richt is ever gonna win big lol.

Yeah that isn't a dig. Did you not realize TN beat all those teams in recruiting except BAMA and FSU lol... They already have the #1 WR from GA. TN is gonna get back to their glory days starting with tapping into the GA pipeline like the 90's. Have you not seen how Butch Jones has rcruited. He has gone toe-to-toe with every program in the country for recruits and has won. I'd say he is mor of a threat than people want to admit. It is very impressive seeing as how he never played football. Dude has some serious swag to get these players to buy in when he was in the band and not playing football in high school.

You should revisit those rankings. UT was like 15th overall when you look at the average star. I would expect a team, who takes 33 players, to win on the aggregate point system. Give me quality over quantity. UGA was literally a 2* away from passing UT’s large class in the rankings. Congrats, UT set a record for 3* players.

Probably should start with a winning season, or winning the state title against Vandy. Just some food for thought.

Classes only take the top 20 commits from each school. Doesnt matter if you sign 50, the additionally 30 would not impact their spot in the rankings.

Berry brothers, Moseley, and some more of those lower ranked players are much better than their 3 star ratings indicate. UT's class was as much quality as it was quanity. Tennessee will be tight on number this year, but expect another top 5 class this year, gents.

VOLS' top 20 recruits were 3rd in the country, behind only Bama and LSU, when it comes to average stars, fwiw. If anything, taking 33 dropped our average much lower than it should be.

The only record VOLS set was most 4* defensive players ever in a single class on Rivals. VOLS also had the most 4* in the country according to 247 but lets not let any facts get in the way of your nonsense.

This has been disproven multiple, multiple times but whatever you wanna tell yourself. Take your top 20 commits in the Uga class and add up the points. Do the same for UT. Please. Then post it here. I dare you

Well I was curious, so I went to 247's class calculator function and whiped off the bottom 12 Tennessee commits to reach an even 21 for each team. That left me with a total point value of 270.72 for UT, which came in under UGA's total of 273.38.

Well, I went to rivals and added the points for each of Uga 21 commits. I then added UTs top 21. Georgia's total came to 121.4, UTs was 123.

So, as you can see, whether you use my number or yours, to say Tennessee class was highly rated due to high class numbers is total bullsh!t

I know. I was just responding to glory, glorys post. I think he said our class is all quantity and not quality. It's just not true.

back to back 5-7 seasons, a coach in his first real recruting cycle, no bowl since '10, and no winnigns easons since '07, and we still finished higher in the rankings than ya'll, mind you

Y'all have the lowest average recruit rating of any team in the top 10 recruiting classes. It's nice to fill up on bread, but.... By quality of recruit, y'all are 14th. I'm going by 247 Composite, because that's pretty much the best one to use.

TOp 14 is still good and UT definatly got some beasts this year but your bragging about being ranked higher than UGA but our class is much smaller and slightly higher rated on composite. To be fair, recruiting is a crapshoot and 21 vs 33 is in UT's favor.

You have no room to talk about recruiting. Did yall even finish top 100?

Fact is, our class was ranked top 5. Not because we had 33, but because our top 20 were better than everyone else in the country, besides the 4 teams ahead of us.

At the risk of sounding churlish, if your rebuttal is essentially that Vandy's recruiting class isn't one of the good ones, you've pretty much lost the debate. Or, to put it another way...duh.

Of course, since y'all apparently have short attention span problems, let me remind you...we're talking about UT and UGA here. Proceed accordingly.
