All Saint was saying is that this commitment means almost nothing to how we feel about Pettigrew. It wouldn't surprise me if Alabama took three TE commitments this year if we can find them. We lose Ty Smith after this year and OJ Howard next year. We've been moving D-line to TE in hopes of finding a fit.
Will we get Pettigrew? Probably not, but us taking another TE has nothing to do with Pettigrew or any other TE.

I see several opinions and some thoughts about how this relates to the 2016 recruiting cycle in general, which is what this board is for. If you want to post that a 3-star player just committed to Bama and have several other Bama fans celebrate and pump him up to top prospect status, there are other boards and sites for that.

Not one Alabama fan has pumped up this kid's talent. If fact the only mention of his rating is hyperbole by opposing fans about the mythical "Bama bump".

Never said this. It was obvious that you and the other Bama poster were butthurt that other posters were (gasp) pointing out the obvious about his rating, who is recruiting him or not, and what this might suggest about Bama's chances for other targets at the position.

And what if those thoughts about how this affects other prospects are wrong? Are we allowed to say that? Because all of the speculation on how this affects spaces are dead wrong, and I know this as a Bama fan who follows Bama recruiting more than an LSU fan would. Let me say it again. We have had to move Dline over to TE to make up for a lack of depth. We will be taking multiple TEs.
