Use the calculator. None of it is straight forward. Using the same example, Warmack dropped the total closer to what his total is worth. McGraw worth much more by their rankings, dropped it even less when removing him.
I know how that works. Why do you keep trying to talk about Warmack and McGraw?
Why did (per deep rig) the class calculator drop Bama more than their team ranking dropped? They're supposed to use the same formula

Ah. Now I understand. Good question.

They are two players that are not seen as solid. And it was just an example of two players with varying point totals.

Exactly.
I didn't just see he was worth 19 points and then use a pen and paper to subtract the points.
I actually used the calculator to remove him and that's how I got the 280 number. I didn't even know what the 19 or whatever was at the moment, as last night was my first time using that calculator, as also evidenced on the UGA recruiting thread.

I understand how the distribution formula works. What deeprig is talking about has to do with what seems to be an inconsistancy in the formula or a malfunction in the class calculator.

Which means?
Officially fudging numbers?
Officially fudging numbers?

In the end who really gives a shite. No matter the talent a team brings in they still have to produce and have a staff that can maximize that talent. Stars and rankings have very little value in the end except to be a part of a marketing formula to help sell subscriptions.

I've already pointed that out in my example.

The McGraw and Warmack thing is more about seeing what happens if one of them flips.... they are flip targets... so I went ahead and posted what their worth is per 247.... in a week when one of them flips to UGA and Bama only loses a half point in their ranking, we'll have evidence that the player was worth 7 points (or 1, or whatever, the number is arbitrary) and that it wont be reflected in Bama's ranking. Because of home cooking.
Not sure how a guy that is worth 25 points to UGA as a 4 star player when UGA already has a 5 star committed at the same position, but is then only worth 4 points to Alabama even though he was worth 19 points 12 hours ago.
Even if there is a perfectly logical explanation, that it is some anomoly in their curve, then frick that curve and frick the people that charge money for it.
I'm going to make my own curve, can't be more retarded that a curve that does what happenned last night.

So I just used the calculator and added Lebetter back. Guess what Alabama's point total went to? Back to 299.82. Where it was before. OP fail.

He's worth more points to Georgia than Alabama because you have less highly ranked players in your class currently.

Thanks for the validation!!!!!! I didn't even think of trying to do a reverse calculation... now I'm validated that my numbers aren't horseshite.... it takes it back to where it was last night...
But to say I failed means I somehow pulled the 280 number out of my arse and that the calculator didn't actually give me that number last night.... my dog must have game me that number...

It's sad that you care this much

Not a bit surprised. The biases there have been noticeable.

I think you did. Not one shred of evidence yet. Just you trying to start a conspiracy.

247 is so overrated by this board. They are pretty silly as of late. Capitalism has trumped objectivity.
