I'm consistent. I am an Alabama fan, and I think it's dumb to take a commitment before the kid has really had the opportunity to explore some of his other options. If you look at tMEGATHREAD, I didn't have any celebration posts over this commitment.

Fair enough. I will consistently rather they commit to LSU early than Bama early.

I'd rather they go through at least one summer of camps as a high schooler before committing. Then they have at least gotten a feel for their options.

Even then there are too many unknowns. Will the coach even be there by NSD? Does the kid know what he might want to do after football and whether or not that university offers the major?

That's a long time for a commitment to last. I have seen shorter marriages, but congrats tho.

Just stating it wasn't a recent commitment. But a bumped thread.

I just saw a picture of the kid for the first time. Not what I was expecting someone with the last name Rosenthal to look like.

A month is recent for a 2018 kid.

But the home state school just offered yesterday which is the reason for the bump.

Personally, I think the school initiating contact with a kid before their junior year is asinine and should be a violation, but that's just me.

I completely agree

his first year at St. Augustine and became the first-ever freshman to earn a scholarship offer from LSU

There's no doubt. It should definitely be a violation.

The Tigers extended an offer to University Lab's Dylan Moses, a to-be eighth-grader.
Yes, you read that graduation year correctly. If Moses didn't attend a K-12 school, we wouldn't even be able to put him in the database yet because he'll still be in middle school in the fall.

I love how y'all seem to think I'm pretending like LSU doesn't recruit young kids too. So, y'all can't actually read then? Good to know.

I don't even mention Alabama yet you two get butthurt. That's hilarious.

What is hilarious is your assumption because I will never get butthurt over a something said on a message board. It is pure entertainment and nothing more.

My assumption?

You responded to my post, which was a general statement about college recruiting, with links to LSU recruiting young players because you thought I was singling out Alabama. I didn't have to assume anything. It was clear the both of you mistook my post, and then got butthurt.

We'll see if Bama honors this commit. This could easily be a Philon situation for this kid. Bama is basically offering him based on potential and because they like to make noise in Louisiana. They will pull the offer in a minute if he is average by the time he is a junior.
