If for some reason Tech manages to land him, I think the NCAA will come calling.Dont forget the maggots have been on probation twice in the last few years.

Bottom line, Tech should never land a 5 star, much less an in state 5 star. If they do it is more than just a fluke. It is pretty good evidence that something fishy is going on.

WTF is this shite? Good God... must be a GT alter trying to stir shite up. Get out of here with this crap

I guess those 2 diplomas hanging on my wall for the last 15 years mean nothing...just a GT alter. Damn.

I threw in a admittedly harsh opinion on top of facts. Tech has had NCAA trouble in recent years. Add on the fact that they have never in the recruiting service era EVER landed a 5 star. Even Calvin Johnson was only a 4 star.

Look at what happened when Ole Miss started recruiting outside their norm under Freeze...NCAA shows up.

You dont have to agree with my opinion, but just because you dont does not make me an alter.

I also love how you cant have an opinion until your post count is over 10000.

It's just silly in this case. The brother is preaching academics which is what GT excels at. If we were talking about some Mongo then I would agree with you.

You're opinion is retarded. You don't think a WR, who is interested in a top academic program, could want to go to GT? Mind you, they had 2 WRs drafted last year, and in the last few years had Calvin Johnson, Demetrius Thomas (similar names) and Stephen Hill all drafted extremely high. Huh. They MUUUUUST be cheating. NCAA gonna pick up the phone the next day. They done....

ETA: It is also an instate kid, who can play close to friends and family.

Cal may very well be a top notch academic school but not for their athletes. They are near the top in granting academic waivers, their only real criteria for athletes is to get them through the clearinghouse, push the athletes in to certain majors, and still only graduate around 44% of them. That grad number is even lower for African American athletes.

the one cal athlete i am good friends with has a phd from ucla, post doctoral work at upenn... even teaches a college course on hip hop and violence.

The first 2 were gailey recruits, and hill was one of PJ's first recruiting classes.

So basically what you're saying is that in the 8 year tenure of PJ he has recruited exactly 1 WR that is worth noting in any way. Yeah, that's a real ringing endorsement!

No. That is not what I am saying. I am saying, that a kid that wants to go to a highly academic institution that has put WRs into the NFL, Tech should not be neglected. I never mentioned PJ recruiting these kids. He has however, put quite a few WRs into the NFL and 3 of them were drafted highly. Again, said nothing of PJ recruiting them.

If I'm a 5* WR, there is no way in hell I go to a team that runs the triple option.

I understand that point, for sure.

But if you're looking at a school where you're ACTUALLY enjoy playing a particular position, wide receiver at Tech is not going to be your first choice. Unless it's just a kid that loves to block.

Then he is a rare case for Cal. They have taken some serious heat recently for their failed athletic program when it comes to academics. They have vowed to improve it and published a report a while back stating they would. Guess we will see.

Stephen Hill is awful and started the downward trend on GT receivers. They put giant, Freak athletes at WR and tell them to block or go deep. Only thing GT should be lauded for is finding these good athletes. Then they blow up the combine and get overdrafted.

Baltimore already found out on Waller, as they are close to moving him to TE (which is an indictment because they're deep there).

FWIW, Steve Wiltfong just posted he believes Robertson will come down to Stanford and Alabama. He also said this could stretch out until May or June.

They don't compare to a Georgia Tech degree.

The football signing period runs until April 1 so you have almost two more months to be sure.

"What is a National Letter of Intent (NLI)? The NLI is a binding agreement between an NCAA school and a student-athlete in which the student-athlete agrees to attend the school for one year and the school agrees to provide financial aid to the student-athlete. The NLI is voluntary and prospective student-athletes do not have to participate to play sports or receive financial aid."

An Alabama fan should never indulge in an academic conversation. Example? Re-read your statement.
