Probably not announcing for a few weeks. Waiting on his SAT score before he visits Stanford.

Georgia fans, what's your side hearing?

Georgia and Alabama fighting for a visit to get in a battle with ND. None of that will matter if he gets a high enough score to get into Stanford.

This could take awhile imo. 2-3 weeks

I cannot sit back and let this reverse jinx go by without opposition.

If he doesn't get into Stanford, he is Bama bound.

HA TAKE THAT!

If not Stanford, he's heading to UGA.

Notre Dame sent their damn equipment truck to his house. Clearly he's going there.

PS, they also sent the equipment truck to Gordo for Ben Davis.

Didn't someone say he was turned off by UGA signing 4 WRs and that is why he reached out to Bama?

That's what I've seen people say but I don't buy it for one second. The only real "surprise" WR we got (ie, someone that DR didn't already know we were signing) is a 3*. I get the whole quantity thing but I mean why would a 3* be the deciding factor to push him over the edge to not come here? It just doesn't add up. He very well may go to bama, who knows, but I doubt the reason is because tyler simmons flipped to us from bama.

I'm pretty sure that started with Andrew Bone. He came out on NSD saying that Robertson contacted Alabama expressing that he wanted to visit Alabama this weekend when many assumed he was going to Georgia.

I've seen it posted a couple of times, but no one knows.

And honestly DR reaching out to bama shouldn't be a shock. Obviously he likes them enough to have been committed at one time, which is why I said I can certainly see him going there. It just won't be becuase of tyler simmons IMO.

Its not, but if a kid is scared to compete it could make a difference. Honestly he has the talent to start at either of the 4 schools as a freshman, but is least likely to start at Bama.

Jesus if the kid's problem is competition he should stay the hell away from bama...where 3 star players serve as towel boys

Good rundown from DawgNation. Georgia's staff is out of town this weekend, so Robertson won't be visiting.

quote:

“They want to make sure everything is laid out for him when he comes up,” Robertson said. “They want the whole team there and have it all out there and everything lined up for when he comes up there.”

According to his older brother and guardian, the nation’s No. 1 receiver is not visiting anywhere this weekend. That makes sense on a lot of counts. Its also really short-sighted to think that UGA is missing even a shred of an opportunity here.

Breaks down the two scenarios:

quote:

Scenario 1: Robertson gets the score and visits Stanford. It still won’t be the weekend of Feb. 12. That’s too tight a turnaround even for a speedster like Robertson. The Stanford visit will either happen mid-week or the weekend of Feb. 19.

The current plan is also for no visits on the weekend of Feb. 12. That’s because Robertson also plays basketball for Savannah Christian. The region tournament will be held that weekend and his hoops squad is the No. 1 seed.

Robertson also has two official visits left. If he makes that score, then the decision will come down to taking two official visits from a pool that includes UGA, Alabama and Stanford. Bet on Stanford getting one of those and the final visit coming down to UGA or Alabama.

quote:

Scenario 2: No one wants to see this happen, but it is another reality to consider. If Robertson did not reach the flat score required by Stanford, then his decision comes down to UGA, Alabama, Cal, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame. Don’t count out Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish are a legitimate player in this race.

The Savannah Christian standout has taken official visits to Cal, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame. Then it becomes a matter of taking mid-week or weekend official visits to UGA and Alabama. The starting line for those seems like they could possibly start taking place as early as Feb. 15 or Feb. 16.

It will also be very important to track which visits Robertson’s mother will be able to attend over the next two to three weeks.

I'm not sure. But from the article:

quote:

The race for Robertson isn’t really even set to begin until Feb. 11. That’s the projected date when Robertson receives his scores from a recent SAT assessment. The 5-star prospect hopes to improve his score by some 100 points to qualify for admission to Stanford.

What is Stanford's score requirement for athletes?

I've poked around and haven't been able to find anything. It seems to be relatively high compared to other schools but not near the requirements places on non-athletes.
