The point I was making is that if you're a top 3 team in the country, in any sport, you have depth. Depth is considered in any prediction/pre-season ranking, etc..

to say injuries took you from being a top 5 team to being 9-4 and getting blown out in a bowl game is outlandish. Again, the #3 team in the country should have a second string that can compete with anyone. Teams like Bama, OSU and FSU (guys leaving for the NFL-not injuries) can take the blow of losing a players to an injury because they've stockpiled their teams with top level talent.

I agree. Freeze is working towards it. Our team was down to ~50 players when Freeze took over. I was just saying we deserved to be the #3 team that week.

Freeze was given a roster full of massive academic problems, a lot of bad people, and just not many good football players. He then improved the win total from two to seven in Year 1. Seven to eight in Year 2. Eight to nine in Year 3.

He salvaged a class in a month on the recruiting trail, then the monster 2013 class and solid classes the last two years. 2016's class should be another monster.

He's done so well with rosters that even next year will still have some Nutt players (CJ Johnson, Denzel Nkemdiche, Aaron Morris, etc.). His teams are getting better as he gets more and more of his own guys in there. Add that to the fact he has beaten Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt in conference, and Boise State, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Texas out of conference and it's been impressive.

If you don't think Freeze has us in the right direction toward things that haven't been accomplished at Ole Miss in 50 years then you're either not paying attention hard enough or you're in denial.

TL;DR Freeze is coming at everyone so hard.

if he picks USC, i would laugh and laugh and laugh

he's a damn good QB. I love his footwork. he screams "USC QB" all day to me. he just looks the part.

wish LSU could get shea and franks, but I don't see that happening and think since ole miss has shea's brother on staff, it's a done deal for him going to ole miss.

Trojan recruitniks say he's all Ole Miss.

Best of luck to him, Ole Miss is a program on the rise.

I like Freeze and think he's a great coach. The OM/LSU game will be fun to watch for a long time.

You never know, Jennings could show that last year was an anomaly or Harris could supplant him and lead LSU to 10 wins again....
