That's exactly why I'm doing it. It was called to my attention, and I won't be using short hand on a message board for a while.

BTW, Diggs is 6'0 and wouldn't take over the Randy Moss type role. That's not his style. He makes plays with the ball in his hands. He is an aggressive runner that's hard to bring down and has excellent lateral movement.

The big, deep threats are JaQuay and Ricardo in this class (6'3 & 6'2).

I don't see us ever getting someone like Julio again.

I almost used him in my OP... he's a good example of the unknown being a good selling point.... any good recruiter (Saban) can sell the future, especially when there's no past to contradict what he's saying.

I would assume he brought up Michael Clayton as an example of a big WR in his offense.

Fair enough. If the kid watches tape of players from when the current OC was the QB coach, and is cool with it, who the hell am I to say anything? Good luck to AU in the crootin battle.

IMO, we already have a player in the Diggs mold in Trovon Reed. We haven't managed to do anything with him yet. Just saying....

Bray fits in the same mold too.

Diggs is supposed to be better coming out of high school than Trovon Reed. Plus, Quan Bray has shown more than Trovon so far. Another explosive guy couldn't hurt...especially if we redshirt him. Diggs could also play cornerback if needed.

Thanks for reminding me about Bray. That makes two guys we have that Diggs would have to contend with. We still haven't proven we can use the players we have. I'd be shocked if Diggs chose Auburn.

Agreed...

He might be OSU bound since Urban is feeding him the Harvin line.

I think Diggs is more physical than either one of those.

They've each played one year.
If you are basing it off of 2011, than our entire offensive coaching staff doesn't know how to use any players on the roster.

But beside the point, why does it matter?
Denson and Coates are tall big WRs. Why did we recruit JaQuay and Louis who are in the same mold?

Why did we recruit 2 TEs when we got two from last year? Only one plays at a time.

Bama fan asking why a WR would go to Auburn is ironic?

Damn, I'm glad you aren't recruiting for us.

Seriously? We already have two guys on our roster that play the same position that he does. Our last OC couldn't intergrate them into the game plan. We have an unknown OC coming in for this year. If it were me, it would be a tough sell. Why is this hard to understand?

Sad thing is, we had no Percy position after Mullen left.

I don't care if we get Diggs. Yeah, I'll be excited if we do, but if we don't, I'm equally excited about Coates, Bray, JaQuay, and Ricardo moving for the next 3-4 years
