Don't keep up with UGA much but I know you guys are getting that Marshall kid and another really good RB(maybe?) in this class.

Do you Georgia fans think they will beat out Crowell??

Hard to say... With Marshall being an early enrollee he should immediately be pushing Crowell for pt. But Crowell does have a years worth of s&c and experience over Marshall. If he uses it to his advantage then no, I don't think Marshall beats him out

Per Ajc Mike Davis's visit a 10...

AJC College Sports Recruiting
RB Mike Davis liked UGA trip so much he will return for official visit.

Stephenson High School RB Mike Davis liked Thursday’s recruiting trip to UGA so much that he plans to come back in January for an official visit.

When asked to rate Thursday’s trip on a scale of 1-10, Davis said, “I’d give it a 10. I was really impressed. They really showed that they wanted me, they really need running backs, and I think I could fit in very well in their offense. It was good visit, they want me to come back for an official visit, and I’m planning on going back there on Jan. 28.”

Even if he doesn't beat him out he should still see significant playing time. IC seemed good for about 4-5 plays before he needed a break this season. If he gains some durability/stamina I still don't see him as any sort of "every down" back. KM will likely get time on passing plays due to better hands. Hopefully they can both take advantage of the previous lack of depth at the position and showcase their talents this season!

Funny Gurley story from Carolina Shrine game practice: GoUpstate.com

quote:

NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND:

Tarboro running back Todd Gurley will do just about anything to stay on the football field. During Thursday’s practice at Spartanburg High School, the highly sought after prospect took it upon himself to switch over to defense. However, North Carolina coach Mark Barnes would have none of it. “Todd Gurley, get out of there at nose guard,” he said with a laugh. “And don’t come over here to the offensive line, either.” Gurley later took snaps in the Wildcat formation, which seemed to sit well with the Tar Heels.

Sounds like some fun practices!

Marshall and Gurley would be a great duo. I actually think Gurley is the better prospect.

Gurley ran for over 2,500 yards and 38 Total TDs this season in leading his Tarboro team to their 3 straight State Championship. Gurley is probably around 200 pounds and he's a legit 4.3x guy in the 40.

Just received word that 2013 QB Brice Ramsey @BriceRamsey has been cleared to graduate early. #Georgia commit 4-star on Scout

Pretty huge to have an EE at the QB level. Lemay, Faton, Ramsey, Mason (maybe). I like our QB depth after Murray

No no, i think what he was saying is that he is "cleared" to graduate early next year. Not cleared to go as an EE in 2012.

If all goes to plan, he'll be enrolling in classes in January 2013....or at least that's my understanding

Does this mean we go after Richie Brown for this year and show the depth chart to Foster next and say...LOOKIE WHAT WE DON'T HAVE while singing him a birthday song?

Yes, most likely. Unless eligwe sees what hes missing or dillon lees family tells him to stop being the black sheep in a georgia family. Personally id rather go into 2013 with roninson, gilliard, and potentially ogletree leaving, herrera the seasoned starter, and PT galor to offer reuben foster and johnny o'neal

Keith Marshall seems to have a pretty good idea about who he'll be playing with next year
