There's lots of speculation on the SC boards on who this C2P actually is. The rumor with the most traction on that site is he's actually the kids coach who has ties to Ohio state and Clemson (not that any Clemson fan would EVER try to sabotage SC's recruiting...)
I'm not saying it's true or not, I'm just telling you what folks are saying out there.
Who ever he/she is, I know for a fact that folks out there on the internet know who this person actually is. No way, NO WAY they can keep it under wraps until signing day. People love to talk about stuff like that. It's only a matter of time before someone spills the beans. My prediction is that as soon as that happens or when the hounds catch the sent of it, C2P will go silent...

Ok if that's true then what does he have to gain by posting on a UT site? Why not go to a Clemson or OSU site?

I need to declare a mea culpa.
I did some asking around yesterday and I was wrong. We do still want Ford. The misunderstanding between him (or more succinctly a family member) and our coaches has been cleared-up and Coach Sands is back recruiting him and talking to him on a regular basis.
So, evidently, we are still after him even though some of the things being reported on recruiting sites are not necessarily jeehawing with what his family and he were telling Coach Sands, both parties have agreed to ignore what is being quoted by the recruiting services. In one interview in particular the Fords are claiming there was some manipulation of words in the interview.
The rest of it is inconsequential until signing day. I'd be wary, myself, if I were Sands and wouldn't put all my eggs in this one basket. But I'm not Sands and if they are trusting what Ford and his family are now saying then I hope they are right. And if he has this much potential as a footballer as some are saying then I hope we get him and it all works-out for the best.
May the best program win his services. He's going to be taking some summer school courses to improve his grades and everyone seems to think he can pull them up enough to get him within striking distance of qualifying in the coming academic year. He's evidently, like many others, a smart enough kid who just didn't apply himself his first two years in high school ... but he's got a shot so, good luck to him regardless of where he signs, I hope he makes it.
