Which is why I would use my pick on top Defensive talent and have a winning QB not one that is just talented.

Luck proved he could win at Stanford. He has dragged that untalented Colts team his whole time in the NFL.

What top talent on Def would you have picked?

I'm not sure how taking UCF to a 12-1 season and a BCS bowl win as 17 point underdogs doesn't count as "substance" but I'd love to hear your reasoning.

Again, talking about record. He wasn't the only player on the field. I'm talking about his talent as a player. Not how many wins he got in college (like that matters) or how many Fiesta bowls he played in. Plenty of untalented QB's have done both and done nothing in the NFL.

The Saints, New England, San Francisco and Seattle seem fine to me with their less talented QBs.

Go find me starting QB's in the NFL that are top 10 players in the NFL that were 2nd or later.

Dear God....

Drew Brees and Tom Brady are top 3 QB's.

Yeah... that's one. 1/10 isn't very good odds. Meanwhile most were 1st rounders for a reason.

A thread related to Johnny manages to go a whole page and a half before turning into adammwilson's inane ramblings every other post. Impressive.

You just don't seem to understand that I would rather have a great defensive team through the draft (San Fran, Seattle) and get a QB later (Kapernick/Bree's/Brady/Wilson).

You don't seem to understand that's not as easy as you're saying. The odds of winning a super bowl with a QB who wasn't a first rounder are pretty low.

It is infinitely easier to build your defense with later picks. Heck, most of Seattle's starters were day 3 picks.

It's laughable that you actually think I get mad in threads. I never derail threads. You're actually derailing this one.

Thanks for the odds are we talking low or slim, always wondered how teams win in the NFL. Are you in that new movie Draft Day?
