Since we're doing top 5's, what Nobel-esque graduates has your school produced?

I'm not sure about Auburn.

I know John Harbert, Tim Cook, and Jimmy Wales came through Auburn.

Oh, and can't forget Cynthia Tucker!

Not Nobel-esque per se but if you ever wathced Ken Burns, "The War" one of his characters, I believe it was Eugene Sledge(?) attended and taught at Auburn. . . Someone please correct me if Im wrong.

Sounds about right. Purvis is probably not as well known, but for anyone wondering he was an FBI agent/Dept Head that captured more public enemies (like Dillinger and Baby Face Nelson) than anybody.

George Akin - Scientist on the Manhattan Project.

Ashley Judd

Glenn Kotche - A percussionist and composer, best known as drummer for Chicago rock band Wilco. He was named the 41st greatest drummer of all time by Gigwise in 2008.

Thomas Hunt Morgan - Natural scientist and winner of the 1933 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Relative of john Hunt Morgan.

John T. Scopes - A defendant in the Scopes Trial.

Chris Sullivan - Founder of Outback Steakhouse.
