Despite the fact that we fricking lost, I had a blast at LSU in 2010. Did jello shots and drank margaritas with some very hospitable Tiger fans near the Indian Mounds, and blacked out around the second quarter of the game.

Last year @ TAMU. Fans were very generous with food and drinks.

2004 @ Florida.

The game experience itself really sucked, but we stayed in Jacksonville near the beach and it was badass. Went to a legit sports bar right on the beach that had giant screens all over the room playing college football. I was 18 at the time and I had never been to a sports bar so it was pretty magical for me.

Not including the game:
1a. 2011-12 National Title Game: I barhopped on bourbon street, almost got in a fight with some Gumps at Beerfest, saw a live band at the Famous Door, saw a live jazz band at the courtyard cafe, had beignets at Du Monde, ate Chargrilled oysters at Oceania and saw an LSU almuni band parade down Bourbon playing "Neck" and cheering "Suck that Tiger dick, Bitch!"

1b. 2009-10 Capital One Bowl: some old LSU fan had to leave the Disney parks early and gave me and a friend of mine all of his fast passes since I was wearing one of my Tiger Band shirts.

Including the game:
3. 2011 vs Oregon:
What a game! Possibly the most fun I've ever had at an LSU game. What holds this trip back is our hotel accomidations. Roy King had the band staying in the airport There was nothing within walking distance, no restaurants that delivered, you had to have a boarding pass to get to the restaurants in the terminal, and you had to either wait an hour for a taxi or catch one of the few shuttles to go anywhere worth being. Screw you, Roy
2. 2011 vs Tennessee:
Just the most pleasant trip I've ever been on. The drive was scenic, the movie selection was good. Our hotel was nice, Knoxville was cool, the Vol fans were courteous and showed up in force, and the game was fun despite being a blowout. Did you know that Tennessee's band learns and plays the opposing team's fight song for the visiting fans during their pregame? Pure class.
1. 2012 vs Arkansas:
I spent thanksgiving night in Fort Smith, AR. I found the one open bar in town after we got off the bus to have a beer and watch the NFL games. While I was there, I met some of the regulars who said they were having live music the following night after the game. After the NFL games were over, I went back to the hotel where we had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner and watched the UT/TCU game. The next day, the exciting and crazy game in Fayetteville followed by a night of barhopping. At one bar known for it's great pizza (and boy did it deliver), I spied a chalk board advertising for an ugly sweater party going down there the following weekend. The skinhead biker next to me saw my LSU hoodie and said as he blew cigarette smoke in my face "If you come to the party in THAT, you'd win..." Then I went to the other bar and had a great night with some really talented musicians.

1996 at Auburn, the Barn Burner. LSU won it at the end. nightlife there-- meh. Coeds -- meh.

1998 at Florida. LSU lost but the women, oh my goodness the hawt women, friendly too, everywhere.

1999 at Athens. LSU lost at the end (failed 2 pt conv), bars fun, fans nice, women hawt, but not as approachable as FL coeds IMO

2001 at Knoxville -- tickets too high, parking tough, women pretty nice, bar scene too far from campus.

2000 -- Ole Miss - nightlife meh, Grove, meh. Me and pregnant wife getting harassed by rednecks in polos? Priceless. LSU won the game, sat in metal bleachers in a very HS like atmosphere. Won't go back.

I have 3 that stand out:

1992 Stanford in the Disneyland Classic. Sr Year and me and my Corps buddies in our outfit were Officers of the Day (the Corps guys you see on the field with boots and sabres). Flew out a couple days early and got to march in a parade at Disneyland with the team. Got free Disney passes the next day before the game and then we beat Stanford.

1991 Texas Tech. Took the Student 12th Man bus on the long trek to Lubbock with my gf and a bunch of buds. The bus had 2 kegs and a bathroom. Went to a bunch of parties and Yell Practice when we got there and could barely see straight. Beat the crap out of Tech the next day and slept on the ride home.

2007 Nebraska. Flew up on an all Aggie Charter plane out of Dallas that morning. Bus took us to the stadium and we hung out with a bunch of NU folks on a beautiful Fall day. Really nice people. Then we kicked the crap out of Nebraska. Got back on the bus and charter and drank and celebrated the way home. All in one day, great trip.

Need to get in more SEC roadies but it's tough right now, too many family obligations in the Fall to get away easily. Will do more in a couple years.

Auburn is always a great trip, their fans are really cool on campus. Not the turds they act like online.

I love going to Baton Rouge though, ultimate game weekend experience. You can do it all.

I always enjoy the tailgating and atmosphere at Auburn and Bama. Win or lose, never had a bad time. Very similar to LSU fans, IMO. Well, minus the piss balloons...

Always wanted to make a trip to Fayetteville, never got it done.... Got to get that done

Best Tailgating Experience - 2007 @ Fayetteville. Found a house right down the street from the stadium, they let us set up our tents in the front yard, shared food and moonshine with us. Absolute blast, Fayetteville is my favorite place to go for an away game.
