He's definitely likable. He's grown on me in that respect.

But he's like the Yogi Berra of the mentally challenged.

Coaching is about relationships and being able to relay information in a simple way.

Relationships get you the talent necessary, being able to relay information in a simple way helps you get the best out of your players.

Almost everyone at a high level of football knows the Xs and Os. It's not fricking rocket science or some incredibly abstract mathematics concept. It's not like people don't know what Saban's doing on defense or what Chip Kelly/Urban Meyer does on offense. Coaches understand the X's and O's. What some coaches don't have is the ability to relay that information and get the best out of their players.

It's ok guys, it has been proven that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to win football games.

I am just curious about the first person to hire him as a head coach. Quite a leap of faith in my opinion.

Typically being charismatic helps you get the favor of people in any field of life. Saban has charisma but in a totally different way Miles does. Both have proven effective.

I agree. Bowden proved that personalty and charisma are invaluable in recruiting and won tons of games this way. I think heis a better comparison to Miles than Kelly/Saban/Meyer.

People need to get to the point. Bama and Uga rarely play. Giving both teams easier paths to Atlanta than everyone else.
That is the whole schedule issue.

Other than this fluke of the last two years when realignment fricked everything up, UGA rotated on our schedule in the same process that every other East school did. I hope we play them more. 9 games is the answer if we want the schedules to even out.

Since 2000 LSU has played UF/Georgia 17 times. (19 this year)

Alabama has played UF/Georgia 9 times.
Womack needs a raise.

I enjoy laughing at a distance, knowing that man will never have the opportunity to be the HC at Alabama. He is essentially Houston Nutt at a much better school.

Does this make you feel better about your life?
