Well it's hard to get much worse than they were. Only one way to go when you are winless!

Saban might not ever figure out yall offense, but lets look at overall.

Last year, Auburn averaged 501 yards and 4.8 tds per game.

This year, Auburn averaged 489 yards and 3.4 tds per game.

Last year, yall were 12th in points scored, and this year 25th.

Auburn also turned the ball over more.

While these don't seem like "shocking" numbers, production slowly declined with a qb who should have been improving.

Yup. Regressed all the way from 2nd in the conference to 3rd in the conference in total offense after losing 12 yards per game.

I do agree though, turnovers were a huge issue.

Yeah, let's just forget about losing a first round o-lineman another o-lineman, Prosch and Tre Mason.

Let's look a little more in-depth into the numbers, as totals as you posted have multiple factors that go into it (does the defense give the offense more drives for example). And since we are talking about SEC coaches figuring out his "gimmick offense," we'll keep our numbers solely on vs conference.

Yards per play
2013 - 6.65
2014 - 7.11

Punts per game
2013 - 4.2
2014 - 3.8

Yards per pass attempt
2013 - 8.6
2014 - 9.5

Passing TDs per game
2013 - 1.11
2014 - 1.63

Completion percentage
2013 - 60.9
2014 - 64

First Downs per game
2013 - 23.7
2014 - 25.0

3rd Down Conversion Rate
2013 - 44.7
2014 - 53.3

The big problem this year (outside of costly turnovers) was we couldn't bully our way into the endzone against good D's once inside the 20 like last year (and basically lacked a big push all around like we had last year). That falls on the OL woes (mostly losing Kozan right before the year) and not having a replacement for Prosch.

Yards per carry
2013 - 6.3
2014 - 5.5

Rushing TDs per game
2013 - 3.6
2014 - 2.5

Red Zone Attempts per Game
2013 - 4.7
2014 - 4.5

Red Zone Score%
2013 - 90.5
2014 - 83.3

Red Zone TD%
2013 - 73.8 (31 TDs, 7 FGs)
2014 - 61.1 (22 TDs, 8 FGs)

Turnovers per game
2013 - 1.6
2014 - 2

Not really. But you only wanted the narrow, quick answer view of the situation.

I'm going to be 100% honest.
I wished hard that Nebraska was taking Bert. He has played every game close this season, and destroyed both LSU and Ole Miss. Two shutouts, two weeks in a row.

He is about to frick shite up in the West.
