A&M lost one senior lineman... a center. The guy replacing him was the number one center recruit in the entire country.

Hill if he can't stay activated to play. Otherwise I don't know that any will have a major slump, but I agree with some others that they may not have the year they did last year.

gonna be tough for Hill to run in shackles amirite?

Misdeamnor, not a felony. He may get a few games suspension.
However, with Cam's offense, he may do more damage through the air than on the ground...

Losing Joeckel wasn't a big deal? Wasn't he considered the overall best aTm lineman and in fact one of the country's best?

Fawx was responding to the contention that A&M "lost those senior o-lineman[sic]".

Joeckel wan't a Sr.

Technicalities aside, there's little reason to think the A&M line won't again be a strength of the team, and probably one of the top units in college football.

Statistically, I think Gurley will fall off but not have a slump.

The schedule is much tougher this year than last, and he splits alot of carries with Marshall.

He'll still be a 6ypc guy, but I don't think he'll have the same total yards he did last year.

Do you people really believe this when you say it?

Bama had 9 games of film. OU had 12 games of film and a month to prepare.

Manziel was nearly unstoppable after getting some game experience under his belt. There was absolutely no sign of coaches being able to "figure him out" as the season progressed. His best game was probably his last game.

Manziel isn't a gimmick that gets figured out. He's a playmaker that gets better with experience.

That statement is as dumb as bringing up JFF's performance against Oklahoma. Oklahoma ranked 64th in total defense. Alabama, Florida, and LSU were ranked 1st, 5th, and 8th respectively. Oklahoma ranked 89th in rushing defense.Alabama, Florida, and LSU were ranked 1st, 4th, and 9th respectively. You may use Oklahoma's secondary in your arguments, for they finished 12th in passing efficiency defense and 29th in passing defense.

Qualitatively, Alabama was the 3rd best and last good defense you played last season. You lost to the other two; granted, JFF had not fully developed yet. I don't want to get deep into those games. You lost to two one-dimensional offenses, and Mettenberger overthrew a few wide-open receivers for easy touchdowns.

Anyways, we'll see who is right 5 months from now.

Not when you replace him with another all-American.

The ONLY drop off I've seen Bama have on the OL the last 4-5 years is when they had to re-shuffle the ENTIRE OL in the days right before the Sugar Bowl against Utah after the 08 (?) season.

Who was the dumbass Tackle who caused it with his agent contact?

THe BIGGEST improvement any QB makes in an offensive system is b/w years 1 & 2. For some reason, some on this board believe that only applies to every QB EXCEPT JF.
Defenses will scheme/ adjust better with more time to prepare, but he's have more weapons/ wrinkles to work with also.
We'll see what happens...
