Y'all won't believe this find

quote:

"Now they're gonna find someone to buy players like Nick Saban does"

This doesn't make anyone wonder? A coaches wife letting something slip like this? Does Tubby believe this? Does Auburn? Does Tubby feel like the whole state is allowing player purchasing to go on again and he just had to get out? I know she's scorned but that's a big allegation to just throw around.

I have to call BS on the skank on that one.
How the hell would she know if anyone is "buying players" when the first she hears of her husband getting fired is from a text message her daughter got.
She has about as much inside info as her pet dog.

Just because the athletic dept doesn't do things the right way doesn't mean she isn't telling the truth (doesn't mean she is either).

But imagine her hubby comes in from a day or two recruiting and she asks him how it went. His answer "Well, the kids said that coach so and so from school this and that promised him x y and z if he would come to that school and said we needed to match or better it to sign him here."

I hadn't thought about it, but as the NCAA was ripping Bama a new one over boosters getting involved in recruiting, they looked the other way at the $10k a Mobile woman gave T Martin at Tennessee because they ruled she wasn't a booster. Maybe that's how they do it these days.

Every coaching staff has wives on it like this.

They are repeating exactly what they've been told. Most telling was....

-Her paranoia on Saban

and

-"He isn't gonna get on here like that OTHER coach

"Nobody is going to beat Nick Saban in this state."

She did get one thing right.

telling, yes. tells me she's pissed. this doesn't tell me that she is wrong or outright lying just cause she's pissed off. in fact, it could be looked at as if she is screwing up what may usually be left unspoken because she is mad that those kind of dealings helped her husband lose a job.

The rumor has been around for awhile - I remember this quote from the summer, from a Clemson coach:

"I actually ran into Julio in the spring recruiting. I said hello to him. I said, 'Well, I guess I’ll be seeing you at the end of August.' And then he got out and got in his Escalade and drove off. That’s serious. And then I went over and watched (Alabama freshman) Burton Scott at Vigor High School at the track over there, and Burton Scott was running around. He went and got in his Escalade out at track practice and drove off. So I’m familiar with those two guys."

I thought it was pretty common knowledge bama was buying recruits. I mean you have to have your head in the sand not to have heard about how a guy with no credit or job whose mom was working a minimum wage job (at the time of course) winds up with a brand new $45k ride about 6 weeks before rolling with the tadd.

You don't remember the guy groveling in a press conference apologizing for what he called a joke?

Should have been paying attention to the upcoming game.

First of all, if Julio was driving an Escalade there would have been pictures of it on every phone pole in Alabama. The ride he does have, a white Chevy Tahoe, had an Oklahoma license plate through much of the recruiting season....his brand of humor I guess.
