I did kinda like Mrs. T blaming the losses this year on the administration for the Petrino meeting in 2003...can you imagine Tubby getting into an argument with that woman! She'd hand him his arse about some tiddy dancer he spent $750 in 1984

If he does happen to pull off the NC this year, Sexton is definitely going to have 4 offers on the table in 2009.

That won't matter. If he wins the NC he will own the state of Alabama and we would pay him whatever he wanted. If he likes it here he will stay and if he don't he will leave, its just that simple.
For the record, I don't think we will win the NC this year but it would be nice. I am proud of this group of guys no matter what happens from here on out.

its not a matter of buying players so to speak, rather than the recruits pursuing a players coach, and a great one at that.. yeah he may not have the best reputation, but he is a damn fine ball coach

He already has more control and more money than any coach in any program, and The Process (c) has been perfectly demonstrated at another fine university.
No, I don't think he'll win either this year, but I definitely think that he will be sniffing this trophy every single year that he is in the SEC.
and will continue to out-strategize and out-intensify Les Miles for years to come. Unfortunately for my good men in purple in gold, the talent is going to be equally distributed and LSU's advantage will not be enough to affect the W count in the ultra-competitive SEC. (I hate this conference.)

This doesn't make anyone wonder? A coaches wife letting something slip like this? Does Tubby believe this? Does Auburn? Does Tubby feel like the whole state is allowing player purchasing to go on again and he just had to get out? I know she's scorned but that's a big allegation to just throw around.

I have no idea if it is happening at Bama or at Auburn or anywhere, but it wouldn't surprise me. Speaking from the Auburn standpoint, even though it pains me to do so, there are those in control at the University that think money can get you anything you want.
Someone posted, jokingly I think, on a thread yesterday about what happens when rednecks get a lot of money. Sadly, when you look at the Auburn board of trustees there are members on there that do think that because they have money and are willing to share it, that it should entitle them to get whatever they want.
