I would let them be our "intermediate league". Do it Euro soccer style. The winner of the Big 12 can be in the league. The last place finisher of the SEC moves down.

It's sad really. The Pac12 turned them away and they know they're never getting into the SEC because of their orange little brother attached to them. I understand their frustration

This is the kind of stupid that shows you don't belong here.
Auburn is a founding member, regularly wins the SEC, played for the crystal x2 and is a top 15 school nationally by every measure.
Add in Heismans x3, Outlands, etc and we would be one of the most desirable schools for ANY conference in the nation.

UTa is cancer. They have been for a very long time. Currently, with the Big XII situation the UTa cancer is contained, in remission if you like. It is in the best interest of the entire college footbal world that this status be maintained. No life lines whete the cancer is allowed to return.

Yes, the University of Texas is such a cancer that two aggy legislators (actually I think it was three of them) filed bills to force the series to continue.

I kinda wish Mizzou, aTm, Colorado, and Nebraska would have stayed in the Big 12. Was a pretty good conference. Can't believe they let Texas screw it all up.

I'll guess and say culture, in which case I don't give a rat's arse. Missouri is the confluence of the east, west, north and south, so it depends on what region you're in. I just spent the weekend in southern Missouri and it was incredible rural (no f'n cell service for 30 miles in any direction), heavily Republican, with simple, honest, country folks. I loved it. Great time.
We have the western most Eastern city (St. Louis), the eastern most Western city (Kansas City) with a huge swath of corn country and a south with hills like Tennessee and cotton fields like Mississippi. It is what it is: a taste of America all available within a tank of gas.
If you want to call me a Yankee, fine. Kiss my Yankee arse. Overall it's a pretty great place.
