I don't know. You tell me. Then tell me where I mentioned OSU.
You have an assumption, as do many, TCU will die off when entering the Big12.
Just look at Oklahoma State who won the Big12 and Fiesta Bowl and isn't in the state of Texas but loaded with Texas kids.
TCU's history is better than OSU and now they are on the same level playing field TCU should have the exact same success or more than OSU because of resources that go above and beyond just one donor at Oklahoma State.

No. I don't assume anything. My only statement was that TCU has reached their peak regarding fan base and ability to fill a stadium. That was my only statement.
They will do just fine in the Big 12.
You're either mentally handicapped or a troll.

How can a fan base reach their peak when playing San Diego State, Wyoming and UNLV.. but haven't played Texas, OU and OSU on a regular basis at home, ha.
Seriously?
You honestly expect those attendance numbers to stay stagnant while the competition and marketability is going up in their own back yard.
Stick to basketball.

Nah I'll stick to football too. It's that sport that Arkansas can't beat Kentucky at.
And you stick to....well, maybe one day Arky will be good at something. Until then just keep at it.

I'm going to save this thread to show you stupid your argument was.
TCU reached their fan base peak while playing in the Mountain West conference and wining the Rose Bowl, ha ha.
Yet, they haven't set one foot in the Big12 (In their own state) playing against WVU, OSU, Texas and OU at home along with marketing the Fort Worth/Dallas area which has doesn't have another BCS level caliber team.
I can't believe you said that.

I really couldn't care less about TCU. If they won a NC or stopped existing tomorrow, I wouldn't give a shite either way. I had a simple point and you took it personally for some reason.

I don't take jack shite personally. I enjoy thickening people's skin.
You made a stupid comment but you won't admit it. There is no way you believe TCU has peaked as a fan base.. Step back and think about that for a long while...
No way you believe that trash. I'm sure SMU has peaked also by not playing in the Big12.....

The point is the Big12 did a good job replacing TAMU and Mizzou.
OK. So they lost Nebraska, Colorado, A&M and Missouri in just over a year, and added WVU and TCU. Yeah, the big 12 is awesome.
Bottom line, they added 2 decent schools, but will it be enough to stabilize the conference long-term? I don't believe so. Will they be a premier conference with no CCG, no conference network and likely a reduction in TV contract $$ due to a net loss in viewers? I don't believe so. So, I see these additions as a stop-gap to postpone the inevitable collapse.

Seems like almost a wash to me from a purely football standpoint.

I believe they are going nowhere.
6 year buyout now.
Texas has the Notre Dame tv deal, dominates a conference, holds their history together and keeps the SEC out of Texas for the vast majority.
Plenty of teams would jump to keep the Big12 alive and OU likes being in the middle of a conference when they are the top 2 teams surrounded by talent.
Oklahoma State loves not having Nebraska in the league and feeding off Texas recruits.
Like it or not the Big12 isn't going anywhere.

Cheshire, I know you're better than that. You're not fooling me, you sly son of a gun...

To answer SunHog's graphical post: ask the 2012 Top 10 A&M class that, btw, is chalked full of kids w/ Arky offers in addition to TCU.

I'd rather play for TCU. But that has absolutely zero to do with my point, or conference expansion.
No, you probably wouldn't. You'd decide just like virtually every other kid who has the choice and go to A&M.

If I'm an 18 year old HS kid. Sorry, but TCU is a little more attractive up until this year. A&M is a much much better program, but I can see where kids might prefer TCU.

But they don't...
We can compare some corp douches to a cool pro combat uniform all day, but the fact remains...

All I'm saying is you really have to buy into the Aggie thing if you want to play for A&M. It's definitely not for everyone. And yea, kids these days love the sparkly unis.

Nope. No you don't. I'm sure you could guess there's a SLIGHT dichotomy between football players and the 2,000 or so weirdo corp dudes...
But you're exactly right on the unis....Need to do something creative...

How many of the 10+ and 9 win Mizzou teams would have won the Big East in those given years?
WVU success on the football field is relative when compared to Mizzou.
Same goes for TCU and the MWC.
I am NOT saying they are BAD programs but lets be a little honest when looking at this people.

It's all about TV market, bro. For the next 1-2 yrs. Maybe yes. Thereafter, I anticipate both will be quite competitive in football.
