I was sitting on that side abd stayed the whole game but it was about 98 degrees and I saw at least 3 people get carted out for heat related issues.

The rest of the stadium was full, just the east side cleared out due to heat abd starting the game down 20.

These are not excuses, just explanations for the sparse crowd on that side of the stadium.

It was nearly 100 degrees on the field and there was no breeze. Can you imagine how much hotter it was sitting on plastic on concrete?

I've sat on the East side with no breeze before, and it is hotter than anything I've ever experienced.

You know what's embarrassing? Not having beaten a team for 22 years.

I had seats in the shade in starkville. it was 90 degrees and a 20oz bottle of water is $4.00. I would have left middle of 3rd quarter if I was sitting in the sun

Most overrated stadium in the country.

The Swamp was superior.

They showed 93-95 degrees on the field during the game

I know to us that isn't that hot, but it is to them and they probably drank like it was a night game beforehand which surely made the problem worse

My mom and aunt were at the game on the east side and she almost left it was so hot

And she was in town from nashville

They toughed it out, likely because they don't drink alcohol

Given the amenities and funding, I'd argue A&M has an argument for this title actually.

I've never seen "it was hot" as an excuse for crappy attendance at any stadium in the south.

Holy hell

No doubt

Plus she probably could have just popped open a piss balloon and took a swig if it was really that hot

It's the heat with 80% humidity. The heat without the humidity isn't that big of a deal.
