Alabama should never lose a game with the talent they have at all positions.

This is the dumbest statement that goes around this place.

I do believe Kirby should shoulder more blame than say Lashlee would at Auburn. I'm pretty sure he's calling the defense. But, yeah, it's Saban's defense.

Who is taking up for Kirby? I am laughing at the fact you aren't including Saban in your comments and the fact it is his system. Why does he get a pass in all of this?

Cause he is God. You can't criticize the chosen one.

In all fairness that falls on the constant posts and threads by Bama fans claiming the same many times. If you are including them as well in your post than I applaud you.

I can't argue that point as it seems fair and most likely correct.

They know the HUNH advantage hurts the defense.

OSU and Auburn could have huddled up and ran the play clock down every play, the results would have been similar.

Saban most definitely deserves the blame along with the rest of the D staff.

Saban has shown the ability to be flexible with the O. I think it's time for some flexibility in the defensive scheme. Simplify and let the athletes run around and make plays.

It's an unfortunate side effect of the modern recruiting atmosphere. There's tons of talent on the roster but players don't always develop as anticipated and guys leave early. Of course this happens everywhere, and Alabama is no different. Alabama's recruiting success does keep it in the picture every year. Though it doesn't assue anything beyond that.

I think Kirby has earned the nickname "third and not so smart".

I agree, Auburn has had plenty that you have high expectations for and they don't develop beyond their high school success, or they have a propensity to get in trouble.

Look it's better to get highly rated players in most cases but if they aren't willing to work hard or aren't football smart than they will not be an asset.

Oh, they are included as well. Talent level is a piece of the puzzle to being great team.

Muschamp is as hands on with the Florida defense as Saban is with the Alabama defense. And Muschamp's defense gave up the most yards in Florida school history this year. So you want to blame Saban for bad defense, but Muschamp gets a free pass and is going to coach a lights out defense at Auburn..? Alright then.
