I started to start a spin off thread: "would you trade your defensive coordinator?"
But I guess I've goaded our hosts enough lately.

No in all cases if it must be another SEC coach. Nationally however,
football = no
basketball =
baseball = I think yes.

I'd trade Les Miles in a New York Minute for Cam Cameron. Keep the rest of the staff intact and just make that one move.
I'd also trade Johnny Jones for former LSU Assistant and two-time NBA Head Coach Eric Musselman (Who was just named the Head Coach at Nevada) with the current staff intact as well. (Including recently hired John Treloar)
Not a fan of Miles and his Offensive/QB philosophy.
Not a fan of JJ and the "Great Recruiter that can't technically coach his way out of wet paper bags" label that's accurately been put on him........

Richt? That would not be a good move. He would lose control of the football program.

Please tell me you are not serious. I like Richt as a person and coach, but he has under achieved at Georgia with all the talent pool he has to choose from. Pinkel could not recruit the level of talent needed like Freeze is doing.
I agree with your basketball choices.

Richt getting more love in this thread than I expected.
That's an understatement. I am excited to see if he can finally stop underachieving now that the AD has finally given him a support staff and some money to play with. We all know what's coming though. UGA beats up on Vandy, USCe and a few cupcakes, looks good doing it, gets Gameday in town for the Alabama game and promptly gets the shite kicked out of them to signal that nothing has changed.
All that said, there are coaches I would trade him for right now, but none that fit the criteria of the OP.

Baseball--yes
BKB -- unlikely
FB-- unlikely. Although I'm continually impressed with what Pinkel does at Mizzou.

I don't see how anybody in their right mind could take Richt over Pinkel. Nobody does more with less than Pinkel. Nobody does less with more than Richt

Remember Ole Miss's season last year that has everybody trying to decide whether Ole Miss has finally made it to the upper crust after going 9-4?
Over his UGA career, Richt is 138-46, averaging 9.7-3.4 per year. So how is it stupid?
For the record - there are non-champion coaches I would trade Richt for, just not within the SEC.

My honest assessment of Richt is broken into three categories:
Xs and Os: He's as good as anyone here. There are few coaches who are as good as Richt at scheming, play design, and planning around the strengths of his teams. His FSU offenses were awesome and can attest to this.
Recruiting: He's good. He's had some big, notable in state misses on players he should get, but under his watch, UGA has landed Stafford from Texas, Knowshon from New Jersey, Gurley from NC, Murray from Florida, among others. He could recruit better but it could also be a whole lot worse.
Motivation: This is where he fails spectacularly, over and over again. This is why it seems like UGA has a ceiling every season, no matter how talented the team is. For whatever reason, every season has a 2014 Florida game (a bad performance against a horrible team). I was at the 2008 UGA/Alabama game, and I noticed during warmups that UGA players were seemingly going through the motions while Alabama players were excitedly jumping around the whole time. The 2012 team had no business losing by 4 TDs to anyone, but they showed up super flat and couldn't match USCe's intensity (this is a growing trend, by the way). I can't explain this and don't know why it always happens, but it is what it is at this point.
Overall, he's solid. He could be better and he could be worse. We basically know to expect a 9-3/10-2 season that has half of the fan base excited and the other half wondering why he can't do more. Rinse, repeat.

I believe Georgia has like the 4th most players in the NFL as a state. UGA has their pick of most of those players. I don't really see how anybody can see Richt as anything other than an underachiever considering those facts

I would say yes until.......
So yeah for that frick no.
Unless I can trade Richt for a coach in the NFL. If so I pick a trade for Chip Kelly.

One of the many reasons I have been saying he should be fired for years.
