Dobbs isn't on the same planet passing the ball as Tebow, RG3, and Cam Newton

Who would you rather see running your offense for your university? I say Dobbs because in the college game his skills are better suited

Why don't you just start with UNC academic standards first and see if any university in the SEC compares

Dobbs is probably the better person

Probably? Kelly is a piece of shite, and has one of the most punchable faces I've ever seen in my life.

That being said, since this is about their football skills and not their character, I'd take him over Dobbs as my QB.

I mean, who would you rather have at ROLB, Lawrence Taylor or Colton Jumper?

So is your argument about the schools as academic institutions or with regards to student athletes? i questioned your statement about the acc caring about the term student athlete. Your statement was stupid. The most impressive program in the acc(duke basketball), has shown their hypocrisy the past few years after all those years coach k bashed the calipari way of doing things, only to become just as bad about recruiting one and dones who don't care about the school or academics.

This is the main difference between the ACC and SEC except at a few ACC schools.
The ACC celebrates the term student athlete and most ACC schools except the three or four obvious ones ( FSU, Clemson, Miami and Louisville) the university and football program would take the good college QB who excels at school and in life

I see the hook.

No kidding. Nobody here, except maybe a few east schools like SC, UGA, and UF care anything at all about the acc. This is about how Kelly is better than Dobbs. OP needs to stay on topic...

You really have to ask this question? Chad Kelly and it's not close at all. No offense to Dobbs.

Go back and watch the Arkansas Ole Miss game from last year. I'm not sure I can remember a game where both QBs played almost perfectly for their teams. It's almost a shame their performances get lost in the crazy finish.

Kelly by a landslide.

I like Dobbs and I think he is good enough to win with the talent they have around him. But the guy had 4 games that he threw for less than 150 yards and 2 that he threw for less than 100. In what world would anyone prefer him over Kelly who had the most productive season ever by a guy who didn't win a Heisman?

If you are talking about sports and have to resort to the academic reputation of your school, you've lost the argument.

If you are talking about a quarterback and your best argument for him rests on how tough his major is, he's probably not that great

Boy your way off! Dobbs is great in UT system, But Arkansas threw for 3500 yards
last year and ran the ball as well. You have to be a good passer in our system.

If all you can do is run, BAMA,LSU and the gang will stuff your stuff! Balance!!

A QB with a tough major who has had success in the classroom usually means he has discipline

Some of you never excel in anything in life to understand

If you have discipline then you work harder in the weight room as well as learning the playbook

Him being able to complete complex math calculations has no bearing on him consistently placing the ball within his WRs catch radius when under duress. He completed 59% of his throws last year and most were swing passes and screens. When he is forced to throw his WRs open, it doesn't happen.
