Nope Bama doesn't need a mulligan every year
This.

Win the conference, play for a MNC.
It was a mistake the last time.

I'd take AJ in the clutch against anyone based off of all the times he has stepped up for us.

Nick Marshall has more clutch drives this year than AJ has his entire career.

While true, I would attribute this to AJ typically being out of the game by halftime.

Fast forward 370 days. You don't think the committee would see Alabama as one of the top 4 after the championship games?

Which is what happens when your defense allows about 7 points a game.

I think the committee will HEAVILY favor conference champions. Otherwise why do away with the computer rankings and just use the top 4 in the BCS standings.

AU 38.6 pts/game
UA 38.8 pts/game

Then this stupid system will be 8 teams within 2 years.
So Duke could play for the national championship?

LOL! I didn't go FULL gump. I gave Auburn credit for the win and congratulated them as well...of course a true dyed in the wool gumpster wouldn't allow themselves to say/type those words!

Not likely, BUT if they beat FSU they would be the ONLY team to beat the #1 ranked team on a neutral site. Hmmm.

When the first game is close then Rematches heavily favor the loser..... Would rather play FSU

The 2003 and 2010 SEC Championships show that the team that won the first match can crush their opponent in a rematch.
