I'm pretty sure that's not how the rule works in the SEC.

LSU wouldn't wear white against a team that's already wearing white.

it was done back in the day prior to the original 1983 dark at home mandate and subsequent reversal and SEC addendum in 1999.

Kentucky wore white at home a few times in the 70's and early 80's. Florida did it in 1972 and Miss State did in 1978.

I was under the impression that the visiting team had to agree to give up their lighter jerseys in order for the home team to wear them.

LSU is the away team in this scenario, breh. It's like Alabama deciding to wear white in BDS therefore "forcing" us to wear our home uniforms.

Not in SEC vs SEC meetings. Home team decides in conference games.

I love this. and the sig pics with this on it. It just shows that even though Auburn was in the NC game last year, beating LSU is still the most major accomplishment worthy of displaying for them

You realize that is my sig picture for the Ole Miss game.

Its a hit at Ole Miss. Really has nothing to do with LSU..

Yeah, that's what I found from googling. I'm surprised that SEC rules can supersede NCAA rules.

Roy Kramer put that in the week of the 1999 Florida-LSU game. Spurrier had a temper tantrum and originally refused to wear dark in Baton Rouge and the Kramer stepped in and said,"yeah, you will."

LSU with the purples is one of my favorite unis anywhere. I've never understood the fascination with the blah white jerseys.

Your response to the OP, which had nothing to do with the AU game was "41-7". Then your sig pic has an LSU player from the Ole Miss game with the score of the AU game...

Nah, you're not hung up on it or anything.

i love that we rarely wear them...it makes them always feel special when we put them on.

however I would like to occasionally bust them out in big games.

Shame they are only worn in games nobody cares about. White is the color of surrender. I'd hate for some team to come into Bryant Denny and Bama wear white. Beta move.

No. It should be a rule that in the Ole Miss-LSU game Ole Miss always wears their red and LSU wears their white. That uniform combination is the best in the nation. I think it's because they're the exact same style just with different colors. And they represent each school and state perfectly.

While our best looking uniform is the white on white, I would not want to see those used at home.

I agree, attended a game about 30 years ago in Jackson, before everything was (PC),with the flags. It was a beautiful site.
I think Vandy did that once before rule change . LSU wore Gold tops, white pants, nice for a change ,actually. All white is great also.. No big deal.Current rule allows LSU to decide what it wants to wear at home.

This has happened a whole bunch of times. Spurrier did it like 4 times in a row at one point.
