I'd consider them Skipping stones.

As in, don't set up shop there. Hardly has any coach used it as a stepping stone and instead found the MS schools to be very detrimental to his career.

Nothing like bravado from a guy who's team has won four SEC games in three seasons.

A couple bad seasons don't negate facts.

You're welcome any time to show off all the hardware your team has won in the SEC. I'll be here waiting.

Yes and I wouldn't say it as a slight.

its always been my opinion that certain schools should have the mentality of developing teams in 4 yr cycles, college obviously.

Beating a team doesn't mean you have a better program.

Lsu fans can chime in if they want.

Wins
#1 ranking in the polls
bowls

All pretty good reasons. How many bowl games have y'all won since 92? 4? I think Mullen ties that in two weeks.

NO. For many coaches they are the last type job they will have. There is always a bigger fish but the next level up is the very elite like Bama, USC, Texas, ND, Michigan, Ohio State that very few coaches will get promoted to these few spots.

Arkansas has more wins than State
Congrats on your #1 ranking for one month
Arkansas has been to more bowls

Sorry to burst your bubble!

Here's some reasons why Arkansas has a better program:

$$$
Better fan support
Better facilities
Better coach
$$$
Not in Mississippi

The two Mississippi schools are perfect for...

1. A young coach using the job as a stepping stone.

2. A retread on the way out, but hanging on. (see Houston Nutt)

You guys pay $3 million a year for a guy who is 2-14 in the SEC. Congrats.

How much do you pay Mullen to choke against your arch rival with the playoffs on the line?

3.4 million for 10-2 and 6-2 in the SEC. Seems we know how to pick them better. Also, compared to Bert's 2nd year, Dan went 9-4 and finished in the top 15. All in a much tougher West.

So for the record, you're arguing that Dan Mullen is a better coach than Bret Bielema.

except that neither one of your bullet points apply to Hugh Freeze, who turned down the Florida Gators to stay in Oxford.(that shite keeps you awake at night, doesn't it?)
