It does matter if you have 2 losses. The only way a 2 loss team has a shot at the playoff is if it's an SEC champion. No other 2 loss team will get in and even a 2 loss SEC champ will need some help.
It would take a lot to make this happen, but a not so fun hypothetical for LSU fans is if Wisconsin runs the table, beats OSU/UM in the Big 10 title game, and it comes down to Wisconsin and LSU for the #4 seed.

O YEA LIKE THAT shite REALLY frickING MATTERS. LIKE 2011 WHEN WINNING YOU CONFERENCE WAS ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO MEAN SOMETHING. "TO PLAY FOR A NATIONAL TITLE YOU HAVE TO WIN YOU CONFERENCE TITLE" DIDN'T MATTER THEN DOESN'T MATTER NOW
Wow. shite was 5 or so years ago and he still mad.

Couldnt see auburn winning out, but if LSU wins out, another LSU vs Alabama in either the semi final or championship. If Auburn wins out and lsu doesnt same scenerio Aub and bama would make it to playoffs.

The chance of 2 of those happening is very slim let alone all 4. Who wins the possible 3 way tie with UT , UF and UK. The top 2 are very unlikely .

No because Bama would still get into the Playoff. All is well.
A 1 loss non-SEC champion Bama has a very real shot of making the playoffs.
A 2 loss non-SEC champion anybody (Bama included) will never make it ever.
