I would think in that scenario that LSU has a dang good shot at the playoff

No because Bama would still get into the Playoff. All is well.

No one is making the playoff without winning their conference.

O YEA LIKE THAT shite REALLY frickING MATTERS.
LIKE 2011 WHEN WINNING YOU CONFERENCE WAS ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO MEAN SOMETHING.
"TO PLAY FOR A NATIONAL TITLE YOU HAVE TO WIN YOU CONFERENCE TITLE" DIDN'T MATTER THEN DOESN'T MATTER NOW

It does matter if you have 2 losses. The only way a 2 loss team has a shot at the playoff is if it's an SEC champion. No other 2 loss team will get in and even a 2 loss SEC champ will need some help.

Nah we would all miss the playoff. Bama would have 2 losses in that scenario (LSU, Aub).

No the worst case already happened by adding aTm and Missouri to the conference.

Some crazy three way tie scenario in the West settled by a coin flip where the rep is eventually the team that flipped the odd coin (step 8 on the SEC tiebreaker rules for 3 way tie)

Vs.

UK

Is the worst case for the SEC.

Winning your conference matters to the Playoff Committee, in fact they weigh it pretty heavily when they choose the 4 teams that make it into the playoff.
