For a high school level team then yes it would be. He and the BBQ gang in Auburn were never worth much (at least on the recruiting trail and coaching wise after 2006).
The frick?
The BBQ gang may have been bad in some parts, but Price was one of Tubs' best coaches here. Jay Ratliff, Pat Sims, Josh Thompson, Doug Langerfield, Stanley McClover, Quentin Groves, Antonio Coleman, SenDerrick Marks. Those are just some of the guys -- pre- and post-2006 -- that Price recruited and coached.
Let's not forget that our anemic offense was Tubb's downfall here. The defense, including the D-line, was always good.

price coached DEs at Auburn, Don Dunn coached interior linemen. DEs were always a strength of a pretty good defense under Tuberville... usually undersized, but quick and aggressive.
Quinten Groves and Reggie Torbor are a couple of decent NFLers he coached -- both turned out to be LBs at the next level due to size.
I thought he was a good coach at Auburn... Ole Miss took a step back while he was there, but I'm not sure it's entirely his fault... It could be he struggles coaching the entire front... IDK.

Price coached defensive ends. Don Dunn coached defensive tackles (Sims, Thompson, Marks, etc.).

I agree with what the other OM posters are saying. I remember going to one of the the first spring practices when the new staff arrived, and I had a bad feeling about him for some reason. His style just didn't seem like it was going to work with our guys. Like others have said, he came into a good situation with the players we had on the roster, but when it came time to actually coach some younger guys up, he dropped the ball.

So he kicked some arse at Auburn and sucked at Ole Miss.

What's the rest of the defensive staff look like at A&M?... Price can hold his own pretty well... he's not gonna set the world on fire with 4 All Americans, but if you give him some talent he'll give you a solid unit.

It looks like a decent hire considering the time of year it is to be looking for assistants.....he is an Aggie so that is a plus.

Go figure.
I think it's a solid hire.

Wow. Forgot all about Torbor.

And, Terry Price as DL coach...I think it's a pretty solid staff...
What's the rest of the defensive staff look like at A&M?...
