The Ole Miss D-Line took a big step back underneath him imo.

He was the D-line coach at Ole Miss for the past three years.

I didn't think folks know much about Nutt's staff, was hoping for Auburn stories

Monstrous step back. Not sure if that's because Rocker was so good or because Price was so bad.

For those who wonder who Rocker is, he's with the Titans now. He coached Nick Fairly at auburn before that.

Hope in one hand and shite in the other. He may have been good 10 years ago, but dude sucked, or at least the talent we had drafted compared to the performance we got on the field sucked.

He actually coached at Ole Miss twice. Once with Tubberville in the mid ninties, and again over the past three years.

For a high school level team then yes it would be. He and the BBQ gang in Auburn were never worth much (at least on the recruiting trail and coaching wise after 2006).

But Price played at A&M so that may add extra motivation and result in a better coach.

I think that's kind of a silly thing to say. I'm fine with Texas A&M wants price. Tyrone Nix is unemployed too. You should give him a call. I'd like to score some points next year.

How much did it have to do with Orgeron talent leaving and his/Nutt talent joining the team?

Orgeron may not be good at much, but he was good at finding good defensive talent, especially on the line...

Rocker was a good coach while at Arkansas as well.

Not really. I've seen several instances of coaches returning to their alma mater and gaining extra motivation because it's the school they truly love.

Our staff is fine and even if we hired Nix I doubt you'd come close to beating AU.

He didn't recruit much for us. Of course that might be a compliment considering our players.

Jerrell Powe and Greg Hardy were great under Rocker and didn't do shite under price. Both are in the NFL. Hardy is doing exceptionally well with the Panthers. Compare our rushing defense numbers in 08 and 09.

ETA: We were top 25 both years. With O's players.

This. We returned 3 out of four starters and 3 out of 4 backups on the DL from 08 to 09 and there was a significant drop off. Price isn't good and in my opinion was our worst defensive position coach last year
