Missouri is a huge baseball state. It really doesn't make sense that Missouri has such a terrible program.

It's actually easy to understand.

Baseball the 2cd biggest sport? LULZ. And I follow UK and SEC Baseball, but to say 2cd biggest is idiotic.

I doubt they'd be booted although maybe they should be.

I know y'all think that's funny but more schools put more emphasis in their baseball program and more fans care about baseball than they do basketball.

You should get outside of Louisiana more often. That might be the only state in the nation that cares more about NCAA baseball than basketball.

Schools that care more about baseball

A&M
South Carolina
LSU
Missisisppi
Mississippi State
Georgia

Schools that care more about basketball

Kentucky
Vandy
Florida
Arkansas
Tennessee
Missouri

Wash

Auburn because they always suck in both so no one cares
Alabama because no other sport exists besides football. Besides gymnastics and softball

The fact it's tied in number of schools is pretty sad for SEC basketball considering how unpopular baseball is around the rest of the country. Don't let your big blue basketball is king overrated coach glasses fool you.

The fact that most NCAA baseball programs can't afford basic playing equipment pretty well sums up why there is no such thing as the "Big 3" sports, and certainly proves that baseball is not #2. That and the players don't even get full scholarships.

Players not getting full scholarships is irrelevant. I have no idea why he said baseball is #2 though. That's just ignorant

Yea Alabama an Auburn could care less about basketball. That's why they are both paying over 3 million for their coaches, Auburn just built a 90 million facility, and Alabama consistently fills a 15k arena for any good game. And LSU is still the only school that cares more about baseball. South Carolina maybe, but now that their run is over they are back to basketball over baseball.

Arky fans....is it baseball or basketball. Hell you guys built a nice park, pack Baum, etc. But your basketball facility is also nice, packed, etc.

Those recent national titles for LSU help. Hell Texas have a good baseball history and they seem to care more about basketball. I watch Longhorn baseball games on their network, attendance for baseball is bad and they have a good baseball history.

Any school that recently win a good number of NCAA baseball titles, go to the super regionals, CWS a lot will eventually have more fans caring about baseball. People like winners....

I have to admit...I laughed

On a serious note..wonder if Mizzou wrestling outdraw Mizzou baseball in attendance. One Mizzou baseball game had under 300 fans...but it was cold.

I still don't know Tami, SC jr and Mizz are in the SEC. Sloppy seconds is unbecoming.

Such a good point!

The whole big 3 just doesn't exit except in the minds of those who love their schools team. There really isn't a big 2 at most schools either. Football pays for everything.

South Carolina a few years ago LOST 1.6M winning back to back titles. And don't get me wrong I'm fine with it, but losing that much money makes you no bigger than any other program at your school that routinely had to split schollys , which is what those sports including baseball does.

The new bats suck. They made the change my freshman year of college. In high school, we were able to use the hot bats (big fan of the TPX EXO haha). Once I got to college, we had to use the new BBCOR bats to protect the pitchers. The ball comes off so slow, it's not even funny. I would much rather use wood bats.

No matter what reason yins bring up to kick Mizzou out of the SEC, its not going to happen.

Start daily threads, its not going to happen.

The best part of being in the SEC is how bad our mere presence rustles the collective jimmies of "da souf"
