Would Missouri be booted from the SEC if they dropped the baseball program?

Baseball is the second biggest sport in the SEC but Missouri has a Big 10 baseball mindset. That's not too strange being as they're a Midwestern school which would fit better in that conference.

Missouri seems to draw about 800 fans to their games and LSU is 9-0 against them since they joined the SEC. Should an SEC school be required to have a baseball program? They don't require that in the Big 10.

Missouri is a huge baseball state. It really doesn't make sense that Missouri has such a terrible program.

My guess would be they care so much about their pro teams the development of the college team matters little?

I mean, it's not like the Hornets have uber support and demands to be great because the state of NC loves basketball.

It's colder there, can't play year round like you can in TX/LA/FL/CA, so the HS circuit isn't as strong. Florida doesn't support their pro teams for shite but it's a hotbed for HS talent. The two really aren't related

I wish Max Scherzer and Ian Kinsler would hurry up and have sons and send them to Mizzou.

NCAA baseball is not good...Talent sucks....Nobody really watches it on TV.

Hell I'd take AA baseball over NCAA baseball because the talent is good in regards to hitting, pitching, fielding, etc. Plus they play with wooden bats.

If NCAA baseball used wooden bats, you guys wouldn't like it. If you think talent is inferior now, guess what NCAA baseball would be like with wooden bats.

What would it be like if AA and MLB players hit with Aluminum bats..

At least in the NFL\NBA use the same equipment as the NCAA athletes.

I know y'all think that's funny but more schools put more emphasis in their baseball program and more fans care about baseball than they do basketball. But Missouri is a Big 10 school so y'all find that funny.

I wish MLB players could use Aluminum bats to have better hitting stats. Imagine what HR's would be like with Aluminum bats. Hell do they even use the same baseball. Didn't NCAA change their baseball.

Does NCAA football use different balls compared to NBA and NFL??? Serious question. Thought NCAA changed baseball to make scoring/offense go up.

Since when has NCAA football used the same footballs as the NFL? They don't even play by the all the same rules in either sport

Are they inflated different?? Maybe NCAA is smaller. Thought they were the same. Does the NCAA football help out with scoring??

I know about the rules...talking about balls or equipment to help out with offense and scoring. Make it more watchable.

Yes, actually. The clock stopping at every 1st down helps a ton with scoring.

No they're not the same. And the bats the NCAA uses now actually have less carry than a wood bat. NCAA also adopted a new ball comparable to a minor league baseball. But by all means please continue to post ignorant statements

Well hopefully they adopt the same bats.

Um if MLB players used NCAA bats, it'd be lights out...get real.

The NCAA drastically changed their bats. They do not have the pop they used to. And most teams could not afford to use wooden bats
