Malzahn's dream job is at arkansas

It definitely is a dream of mine

"It definitely is a dream of mine because I love the Razorbacks so much and now I have direct influence on whether they're successful or not,"

problem is that he is batshit crazy.

He went into a situation where he already had his players recruited for his style. He would've done just as shitty as Arkansas as Bert did his first year

Don't bring that kind of logic here. Its not accepted by the pure football genius that is the SECRant.

He'd have waited for a better job. Not easy to win at Arkansas.

Why are you so certain he would have gone 3-11?

because he didn't have a mobile quarterback. Allen seperated his shoulder driving into the endzone untouched for crying out loud

defense would've still been shitty

He would leave at halftime of the SEC Championship game if offered.

There also would have been no Kirkland, Skipper and Collins.

Add to the consideration:

3. Bret Bielema Arkansas $5,158,863

32. Gus Malzahn Auburn $2,440,000

Why are you so certain he wouldn't have.

We don't have a mobile QB that Gus needs to run Hus system.

Would he not be allowed to play a safety at signal caller?

The thought of Eric Bennett playing quarterback is just...

I can't even imagine what that would be like. Probably would have gone 0-12 this year.

He probably would have gone to Arky sense he is a native but the ship has sailed. He will be at Auburn for a long time. Why go to Texas when you have rebuilt Auburn in a season?

That's why I don't like his system. To me it doesn't scream sustainability. I like teams that can sustain success without that dynamic one guy.

Ummm, because it is one of the best jobs in the country in an easier conference?

I have no knowledge of any Gus-to-Texas rumors; I'm merely responding to the above post

Yes. Remember they hired John L. Smith as their interim coach before the 2012 season. They started the job search before Auburn did

Well of course it was his dream job 8 years ago when he was still a high school coach in NWA...

Um, wat?

Malzahn had a very productive offense in 2009 with Chris Freakin Todd running the show. He made it work with a three headed Frankenstein of Barrett Trotter, Clint Moseley, and Kiehl Frazier. And he made it work this year with a converted DB who never played college football as a QB. He also did it at Tulsa with whoever the QB was at the time.

And you're glad you don't have him because he can't sustain success?
