I feel sorry for Fournette cause he clearly didn't have what it takes to be elite in the SEC but fans propped him up as a once in a generation player who would win multiple Heisman trophies.

Not really fair to put that kind of pressure on his shoulders imo.

It's ok, the Arkansas fans made him feel like he lived up to some of those expectations by requesting selfies with him while their team was getting bulldozed by LSU.

Stayed home and played for the team he loved, instead of a bunch of toothless inbred assholes. Plus, saw how much better LSU backs perform in the pro's, didn't want to be a fat, spinning no tread left on the tires bum like Lacy.

Derrick Henry would trade the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Doak Walker Award, Walter Camp award and all of his championships for the chance to be drafted in the slot that Leonard will go.

Sorry Bubba. That's life. These kids want to get paid.

How about you answer the fricking question rather than deflect.
You want to talk about the draft? Fine, start a thread about it.
This one is about LF and his lack of a Heisman, because he chose poorly.

No.

Fournette and Henry would have cancelled each other out, and the trophy would have gone to McCaffrey.

Answer to the question is Fournette would have won it this year at LSU if he had been healthy.

For a running back to be considered elite I think they should be able to rise to the occasion against the best competition and LF7 didn't accomplish that.

Peyton Manning never beat Florida and went on to win a couple of Super Bowls. Sometimes elite players get shut down against better college teams, but flourish given the right NFL team.

He represented his home state and school extremely well. He was LSU's featured back and will be a first round draft choice. And he still has the opportunity to get a great degree from LSU over the next few summers.

Who are you to say Fournette "chose poorly." Seems like he made a great choice to me.

And there are SECr posts about them, where?

Seriously bro, you know the deal. This stupid obsession with LF7 is nothing more than sour grapes and trolling. He is leaving for the NFL. A great Bama defense shut him down three times.

Move on.

Yup. No Heisman and no College NC.

Have a feeling he is still going to get a payday.

So...

Peyton Manning did have success against other good teams at Tennessee and did lead his team to an SEC title.
