Would Georgia be favored over Michigan or Washington?

Many people think so and not just Georgia fans. The 4 team playoff does not give us the 4 best teams if Georgia is the best team in the nation.

But the people that determine who the best 4 teams are said they were not.

Good thing it's being corrected.

Yes. They would be favored by 1 over Michigan. And 4 over Washington. These fake odds came out this morning. You’re right. Georgia is the best team. It’s ok. Last two seasons were just beautiful. Everyone knows we are the best team, but we didn’t deserve it because the SEC made us give up the Oklahoma game. And then we just went 12-0 and lost to Alabama on the goal line. But oh well. 12 team playoffs from now on. Bet we see UGA in those every year.

No. If they were they wouldn't have lost to Bama.

Best? Probably. Deserving to be in the playoffs? Not this year.

We may be the best, but you've got to win the games in front of you. We didn't do that. We don't have much of an argument.

Probably.

Doesn't mean they deserved to be there. This year winning a conference was required due to all the conferences having winners with 0/1 loss. But if UGA had made the playoff, they'd likely be favored against everyone, including Bama who beat them.

I would rather the best win the national title than the most deserving.

UGA could not beat Bama, why do you think they could beat one of the two best teams in the country. All UGA did was beat up on the 3rd string of FSU.

Honestly, a healthy Georgia? Absolutely 100% and rightfully so.

UGA was beat up at the end of the season. After having a month off, UGA looked healthy and polished against FSU. It would likely have been similar to 2021 in terms of losing the SECCG and beating playoff opponents.

I love all these what if scenarios?
If not for their easy schedule they likely would have lost another game somewhere along the way.

It's no different than LSU had they played UGA's schedule and would have had a better record.

The four teams selected had every right to be in the final four as UGA or FSU did.
