Would Cal really leave his 'dream job' at season's end?

I am very curious to hear what UK fans think. This whole idea of him leaving due to pressure, fans etc etc etc seems like a joke.

who is speculating he'd leave?... and where would he go? Pressure is everywhere, and he's not going back to a lesser profile job like a memphis.

I've read it in several places. NBA (because there is no pressure there).

The rumors are based at ESPN. Coach laughed it off. He's not going anywhere. Got another stellar class coming in and many of this season's stars will return because of a disappointing effort. Besides, I doubt any NBA team could pay him what UK does.

UK is the perfect place for Cal. He should remain there for as long as UK will have him - - Bobby Bowden style.

If that was going to happen I wonder if it would be because of the dynamic of college basketball changing, i.e., having good players come in to stay a year or so and then leave for the pros. Would seem to get frustrating after a while almost like you can't really put your best foot forward because your resources are constantly being tapped.

Calipari's not an idiot... he's been there, done that. Unless someone offered him control over personnel/draft decisions, there's zero reason to leave UK.
He's at the perfect place for him... he just needs to figure out how to manage expectations, and figure out the balance between one and done freshman and 2nd/3rd year role players. Once he hits on the right formula (like two years ago), they'll be back to elite.

No babble, just a reality of college basketball that top notch players come into the program and end up not staying long because they head off to the pros to make money. Not a flame at all. Do you disagree that the team would be better if those top notch players stayed and didn't leave?
