You won't go 6-6. If LSU beats Bama then they will beat you too. If not I think you guys win 9 or 10 games this year.

Recruiting issues aside Arkansas has a lot more upside than most of the SECW teams in the near future.

1. Saban isn't Bill Snyder, he won't coach to the grave.

2. A&M, Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss are likely to have coaching changes in the next couple years.

3. In the East, SCarolina, UGA, Vandy, Mizzou maybe even UK made steps backwards with their last coaching hires and Tennessee's has yet to proven to be better than their last guy.

4. We're finally getting to a point where we have some depth. OL, LB, and DB are still areas to beef up with better talent and they're already addressed those areas in the '17 class.

5. Cycles, everything runs in cycles and Arkansas has talented young guys that will be experienced guys with talent soon. The last couple recruiting classes combined with this next one is full of guys that fit the schemes and philosophies of Bert and the coordinators. We've had to play a lot of guys out of their natural positions to mask the Petrino roster attrition, add in the walk-on program having Sr's and Jr's with 3-4 years in the program we'll be strong with experience as other programs adjust in periods of regime change.

Well yeah, thought everybody knew this

The gap is becoming negligible. Saban is on the verge of having himself a dumpster fire with all the transfers and the PR fallout of how shitty he treats people.

Lol. Welcome to every Alabama offseason.

We've got the best QB in Alabama committed and when Gus gets fired there'll be a lot less trashing of Arkansas around the state and we'll pull more recruits from Alabama.

The state of Alabama doesn't exactly produce elite QBs year in and year out. That being said, that's a lovely imagination.

If you guys screw up the post-Saban hire and go with Kiffin Bama will be set back a decade as you try to fix his shenanigans.

There seems to be a lot of hope pinned on this. Let's say that's true. So, Saban has around 4-5 years left. The next coach is set up nicely for the first 2-3 years. Now we are talking about some hope of collapse that's 8 years from now?

You also ignore the fact thatby the time LSU played Arkansas it was in an emotional low point as LSU had lost a game to Bama which mentally drained them.

Just look at this ridiculous excuse making.
All this line of reasoning does is make your coach look bad. I mean, is it acceptable that your team just folds up shop after they lose a game? By comparison, last season, after Arkansas lost to Alabama, they reeled off six of their last seven. LSU lost two more in a row.

Besides which, I don't even think it's true. I think that what happens is that Alabama physically punishes LSU and then the Tigers get another ultra physical team the very next week. I think LSU is too soft to finish out the SEC West schedule.

But even if that's not true, either way, LSU's coach isn't nearly as good as people make him out to be. Honestly, LSU is probably regretful that they scheduled A&M at the end of the season instead of Arkansas. Because now they get the Hogs on the heels of Alabama and they just aren't tough enough to handle that two game stretch.

Gus (and Horton and Lashlee) probably puts more thought and prep into the Arkansas game than any other on his schedule, including the Iron Bowl. It's personal to them.

Because we didn't lose any close games

Answer this and you'll get the same answer to your question. Was Arkansas ever considered a favorite while they were here?

Well, I mean, it's true.
I don't know if they dedicate more time to Arkansas or not (I highly doubt it, actually), but make no mistake, our programs do not think very highly of one another.

You guys try way too hard to be relevant. Win something and it might help your cause.
