Alabama would have beaten Oregon. If not, Alabama would have beaten Alabama.

Hell, if Kiffin would have stuck to the run when Bama was down they would have won. tOSU had no answer for Henry/Yeldon.

you may be right. I saw a stat that Bama carried 11 times to the left for over 10 ypc average

OSU was a very good team, but had Bama stayed committed to the run after taking lead 21-6, I don't know if OSU has the clock to win that game.
Yall getting the lead was based of two awful awful turnovers and OSU choking in the red zone. They outgained you by 130 yards and had 3 more minutes TOP.

Every year I buy into ESPN Oregon hype and each year I get burned. Oregon has proven that they are a FAST team but not a PHYSICAL team.

I think not just BAMA could have beaten the Ducks but probably other SEC teams as well.

What about what Oregon did to FSU? Tyner ran right up the middle on them again and again, and they were manhandling FSU in the trenches. FSU recruits really well, how can they be so soft on the lines compared to Oregon? Poor strength training? Not coaching up the talent?

No. Oregon would have ran around them all game long.

Other SEC teams? lol no. You saw what happened when the SEC played in their bowls. Oregon was physical against teams like Florida State. Ohio State just topped them. Bama probably would have won in the trenches too, but Bama's secondary is trash. Oregon would not have been "soft" when matched up with most everyone else. Heck they had Ohio State on 3rd and 6, 7, 8, and 4th down a handful of times but a 6'5" 250lb QB ran right over them. That defense was gassed and demoralized and they just folded. Ohio State scored 28 unanswered on Bama, who couldn't stop Cardale or Zeke either. Zeke had 230 yards against Bama. Zeke had 246 yards against Oregon.

They would have beat them worse than OSU did. I can't believe there are people on the SECr who still take Oregon seriously after seeing the PAC's best team destroyed every year on the biggest stage by SEC teams and now by the BIG 10. Oregon can't compete with the size/speed of top tier football programs. How much more proof do you need?

Probably not. Alabama struggles with great QBs. And 3rd string QBs. And defensive backs converted to QBs.

UAT would have won. Oregon fold when facing strength.
But their women have a reserved seat on my face

I like the vote of confidence but I seriously doubt that we could have beat Oregon.

Did you miss where they beat the frick out of FSU? Did you miss where they lost to Auburn in the national championship on a last second FG? I swear some people on this board have the attention span and memory of a gnat

Possible, but we'll never know

Can't say I agree with this. Oregon constantly put Ohio St in long-yardage situations, Bama likely doesn't convert those the way the Buckeyes did. Also don't see Bama limiting the Oregon offense; Auburn lit up Bama's D.

Cardale Jones was a fantastic ringer to bring into the mix. He's a physical beast, and I doubt he's ever going to live up to his first 3 starts.

You do realize that Ohio State ran the ball just as effectively and put up 42 on Bama right? Quit it with the "Oregon can't compete with the size/speed of elite football programs" crap. Oregon gained more yards than Alabama did against Ohio State, and Oregon actually allowed LESS yards per carry. Buckeyes had 4.9 ypc against Oregon and 6.7 ypc against Bama. Mariota missed a few key throws in the redzone and was inaccurate on a few crucial 3rd down plays. LOL if he goes top 5.
