to be sure SEC defenses are on average superior to Big 12 defenses, but you're using a poor statistical metric, SEC offenses were not as explosive as Big 12 offenses were on average in 2011. The competition is superior, of course, but to say in every thread that our minds will just be blown and the skill is on a completely different plane is a little silly. Ole Miss, MSU, Vandy, etc aren't light years ahead of texas tech, oklahoma state, A&M & KSU.
That contradicts itself. Defense=less offensive production. Puts those explosive offenses in the SEC and see what they do on a weekly basis

Lane has really good potential IMO. Can't wait to see what he can do, if he's the every down back.
I agree. Lane is now almost 2 years removed from ACL surgery, where as last year he really struggled with lower body strength only 12 or 13 months removed.
He was the best player on the field in the orange and white game (not that that means much).
He was a top 100 player before his injury for a reason.

Going to be an interesting season fo sure. Can Ags and Mizzouri move the ball like they did in Big 12? Inquiring Minds want to know!

The banner carrier for the Big 12 couldn't manage more than 14 points in title games against SEC teams. Oregon couldn't score on AU or LSU. QED
