Well then what's the problem? You have a back in the same position. Do you not think he could start and be just as good?

I don't see how Christine Michael is in the same position, he is proven? I would love to know your reasoning behind that though.

If Michael is proven, Perkins has to be too, cause Perkins has more than that with his all-purpose yardage. He is more of scat back.

I get the whole "haze the new guys" thing but seriously, the gap between the Big 12 and the SEC is not like jumping into the NFL. Would you honestly say MSU is better than Oklahoma St?

Defensively? Night and day better...

It's too early for you to be making any claims about what the SEC is or isn't.
I know this much...
3 best scoring defenses in the Big12 last year: #31 Oklahoma
#33 Texas
#43 Missouri.
This season, you get:
#1 Bama
#2 LSU
#10 South Carolina
#16 Mississippi State
#20 Florida
#23 Georgia
#29 Vanderbilt
#33 Arkansas
#36 Tennessee
That's with a down Auburn D that will be much improved. We will have 10 of the top 40 scoring defenses this year.

Not at all, but I don't know how to link. I love the mobile site. I actually post on it 75% of the time. Actually, Chicken just finished the new mobile site for SECRant.com and it is great.

to be sure SEC defenses are on average superior to Big 12 defenses, but you're using a poor statistical metric, SEC offenses were not as explosive as Big 12 offenses were on average in 2011. The competition is superior, of course, but to say in every thread that our minds will just be blown and the skill is on a completely different plane is a little silly. Ole Miss, MSU, Vandy, etc aren't light years ahead of texas tech, oklahoma state, A&M & KSU.
