2008 Alabama wasn't bad, but they were overrated. They definitely took advantage of a down year in the SEC West.

If Mark Ingram had maintained his productivity, and they had maintained a few more defensive players they lost to the 2010 draft, 2010 Alabama could have been something for the ages.

I think the first half of the Iron Bowl showed what they were capable of. They crashed back to reality in the second half.

I'll bite

No need to bite. They only beat 2 ranked teams and lost to the other 2 ranked teams and had to go to OT to beat a 5 loss LSU team.

That game could have gone either way up until halftime. Should not be usable criteria for WDC in SEC history.

But they still won 12 games. You would rank 2008 Alabama ahead of 1995 Arkansas as far as worst division winner is concerned?

So SC managed to lose worse than anyone in the history of the game in just one half?

That's a lot worse than I thought. Thanks for clearing that up.

South Carolina = worst Division Champ ever.

Thanks, now waiting on a USCjr poster to confirm for me

To be SEC Champion material you shouldn't be easily defeated by inanimate objects...

The team lost steam due to miracle play to end the half. Stephen was sobering up, rallying, and had it in the bag.

21-14 until that ridiculous hail mary as time expired

we were getting ball back after half too

I remain adamant that play killed the whole game for us

I thought that was the game where we were dubiously tricked into believing that we had switched to golf scoring... Cheating arse Auburn...

I was at the Jack's across from the Alabama practice fields getting dinner when that play happened. I started to laugh my arse off. But not nearly as much as I laughed when Garcia handed the ball to that Auburn linebacker for the pick six.
