in terms of the competition, Alabama's NC win over Miami in Jan '93 was very impressive. 21 pts over the #1 team.

And in relative terms Kentucky's 21-0 win over North Carolina in the '76 Peach was pretty dominating. Want to let the Wildcats play, too.

No.

That's why I qualified that game - limiting it to the 25-0 second half. I believe the favored Jackets that had a double digit lead at the half felt pretty "beat down" when it was over.

Didn't read thread but has to be Alabama vs Mich St.

They made them look like a high school team.

yea I'm gonna go with UF/OSU on Jan 8 2007...I will never forget it. OSU...just run between the tackles, it is still working; your starting RB is averaging like 7 yards a carry...don't throw the ball anymore..OH LOOK ANOTHER SACK

Does anyone not remember the 2002 Sugar Bowl with LSU \ Illinois? That first half was one of the worst beat downs I ever witnesed. Dominick Davis had like 4 TDs and Reed was unstoppable. Illinois came back and scored some garbage in the second half, but that first half was an absolute beat down!

UGA-Hawaii. The rest were bad but Hawaii looked like it clearly did not belong on the same field as UGA; like it was a D2 school. I was actually worried for Colt Brennan's health.

Looking at the box score, it's incredible to see that Georgia only outgained them by ~25 yards.

UGA over Hawaii. That's one of the worst beat downs i have ever seen. If UGA wanted to they could have won by 70+.

MSU wasn't as bad as we made them look, they were just the first victims of 2011 Bama. A team that was determined to show they had a right to finish in the top ten, which they did. I love how throughout that game they kept saying "Bama is a team that can play against any team in the country, and come out in a close game." I remember one of them said something like "If Bama played Oregon and Auburn 10 times, the Auburn series would've been 9-1 Bama, and the Oregon series would've been 10-0 Bama."

I wish we had let Greg pass it one or two more times though so he would've been the first Bama QB to break 3000 yards. He became my all time favorite player during his time at Bama.

LSU 40-3 over Miami - something like 35 yards allowed in the second half. Also - Addai crushing their All Everything Safety was pretty damn good.

Alabama's beatdown of Michigan State was infinitely more impressive because Michigan State was actually a solid team. That Hawaii team wasn't even a top 25 caliber team. Their best win was against a 4-9 Washington team and they had to come back from a 3 TD deficit to win that game.

I agree, everyone in the country saw the UGA beat down coming.

I always figured the Sugar Bowl gave UGA a sacrificial lamb after they got embarrassed by WVU a few years before.
