Vanderbilt is the only team besides the newbs (Ark, SC) to have never won a conference championship.
And that is actually kind of ironic because Vanderbilt was really good back before the days of the SEC, and was considered one of the powerhouses coming in. In fact, one could argue that the first southern football team to achieve national recognition was Vandy's 1906 team, when they beat Carlisle that year and retroactively won the "NC."

sleber - yeah that sux 2; that's the only good thing about being a tiger AND a reb fan - i'm still fairly happy unless the loss screwed w/ a bowl or title opportunity for somebody.
