No, winning the SEC title puts him squarely above Ears. But no other coach destroyed the program like Dubose. One good year doesn't offset that. When he left, the team was terrible AND it would be terrible for years to come because of the violations.

That era was so painful that I STILL appreciate the wins...though with the current level of success it's so easy to take them for granted.

Ray Goff and (this will be a surprise one) Johnny Griffith.

Griffith inherited a great program after the Wally Butts Era and went 10-16-4. Fired deservedly after 3 seasons. Then came Dooley
