have not been following this clusterfrick at all. I tried for a second, but it was surprisingly hard to get answers on here. I know something about a Swastika drawn in feces. What exactly did Wolfe have to do with this? Did he, himself, draw this symbol? How is he obligated to resign to make it better?

And for that matter, how did this juvenile act manage to so deeply offend so many people? I need some serious context.

There is no context. That's the problem. No one knows what was fabricated or real or who said what etc. There is no verified fact pattern here, except people complaining.

Of course not, but it does quell some of the animosity at this point.

Maybe, but it's basically saying that if you don't like how things are, throw a fit and get your way. I don't know how good of a president he was, but if these minor incidents were the main reasons this man lost his job, that is pretty fricked.

WTF. The bad thing is you know he got PAID to resign. So congrats on the SJW for giving a guy a ton of money to be paid by their tuition money for not doing anything wrong.

Students running the show!

Do they realize this is just the start rather than the end?

Wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if a storm similar to the one in Joplin came thru and wiped that school off the map. Without injuries of course.

This just shows you that Mizzou has zero right in being in the SEC.

It has been reiterated many times over on several boards all the things going on. It's annoying to go out and repost them every single time someone asks, wait what's happening. Please go back and ready. There have been 100 plus threads, most of them detailing the incidents.

None of them which directly relate to wolf, but because he is the figurehead and didn't address soon enough he is the fall guy for this movement.

I'm sure it's possible that I've overlooked key info, but all I saw was a lot of this

It's just a bizarre situation that cropped up from nowhere and moved quickly. I got zero info early on and now the whole thing seems over.

I would imagine. Wasn't he the first target anyway?

I'd actually prefer to get this here before going to the p-board. What exactly was the rub here. I'm aware of the racial incidents, but what in particular did Wolfe do to get in everyone's cross hairs?

He brushed off the concerns and stuck his head in the sand.

You can disagree with the protesters, but people in leadership positions should know better.

It sets more than a poor precedent. It continues to cater to a racist mindset perpetuated by organizations that feel that because of some horrible things that were done to them several decades ago that they should be forever over-compensated and beyond the "equal" footing they so adamantly demand. Right now, they're no better than the legitimate racists they're trying to combat.

Maybe as a woman I need to start demanding for some reparations since my Great-Grandmother wasn't allowed to vote for a period of time in this country. Seems like a good time to cash in at this point.

They are not just running Missouri. It's happening all over the country. Thanks to our "race baiting" leaders and the liberal PC in our country.

That is what I really want to know. If he negotiated a deal, good for him. But, I don't think Missouri would want to risk the publicity on his payout.

I hope we don't move on. I hope this incites a new wave of activism - one designed to combat this exaggerated, sensationalized racial war and the goals of those who insist it is real.

This is a black eye for America. This is one of the worst forms of "cry wolfe" I've ever seen.

You won't look elsewhere.
You won't search through threads here like everyone else has done.
You won't simply read.
And you complain you get little info, when people have been restating this for two days.

It's impossible to overlook things when you don't look to begin with.
