There's video, moron. They say "someone" because they can't make out who it was and the Tuscaloosa PD and the DA's office apparently didn't think this was important enough to investigate.

Not in the least. He was a member of the gang the boyfriend was in and he testified to that effect during the self-defense hearing for Miles (after the judge had to issue a bench warrant to force him to appear). They couldn't find the boyfriend to make him testify and the DA is pretending the defense should be the ones to make that happen. Complete travesty of justice going on in this case.

I’ve disagreed with a lot of Bama fans on Miles. Part of the freedom of gun ownership is responsible gun ownership. Unlike Miller, Miles owned the gun, saw the entire verbal altercation that occurred before the parties separated, and was fully aware of his friend’s anger and intoxication

And I'm still waiting for the actual evidence of anything during the trial. Until then, we don't know.

Yes, it is very credible. Because it's on video, you complete idiot. No one disputes that someone pulled what looks like a shotgun from that car. Here's a better article about this because al.com sucks: LINK

If that sentence doesn't make sense to you, please read it multiple times. No one has identified this person because no one ever interviewed these key witnesses to what happened.
The defense says the item is a shotgun, so if you're going to take issue with the defense saying anything then that would be the part you would take issue with. No one is disputing that "someone" took an item from the trunk before the shooting. The DA is being super shady and is not admitting to anything he can see with his own eyes.

By "second witness," they mean "second gangbanging friend of the boyfriend." Two of the gangbangers who started this altercation have now died. Might be coincidental, because this doesn't seem that unusual for gang members tbh.

So far, the evidence that has been presented (and quite a lot was presented during the self-defense hearing) has made it look like the wrong people were arrested here. I don't know how they're possibly going to prove their case against Miles. Davis has a harder hill to climb because he was shooting, but it seems clear that the girl's boyfriend and his fellow gang members intended for something to happen. They probably weren't expecting the basketball players to have a gun.
ETA: Unfortunately, somehow these key witnesses have not been investigated by law enforcement and apparently were not interviewed because they still can't even identify one of them.
