If I had to give a top 5 I would say UF, Texas, USC, Alabama and Ohio State in some order. I'd say LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and probably UGA right outside.

Most of the peter pullers on here are ranking the jobs based on their favorite college campus locations, i.e. towns and cities. A better question to ask, and one with football relevance, would be, what are the top cfb programs to hc at? Does this have anything to do with a location being deemed as a desirable place for college players to live? No. Example: Auburn-Auburn, and Los Angeles-USC.
But you can go ahead and toss ND, Michigan, Nebraska, Miami, among some other programs straight into the garbage can, because that ship has sailed. They are finished.

It's amazing how college football revolves in cycles. In the 80s & 90s USC was fricking awful. What gives? If it's one of the top destinations for coaches & players how can they suck for so long?

The only thing Miami has going for it is they will always have the top talent literally in their back yard. I don't think the administration right now gives a single solitary shite about winning.

Get miami off the list. That is my first thought.

they play in the East and have a better recruiting base.
Please explain this?? LSU has zero in state competitors and how many do they have between the SEC and ACC.
