IMO (all subjective obviously) UGA only has to battle with Alabama and Auburn over their recruits. Everyone in the country wants the recruits out of Florida.

Why isn't UCLA up there? I figure, if you believe you're gonna for sure be successful, or if you're confident in it, UCLA would be a top 15 job. Oregon too, maybe. Is their campus and surrounding area as nice as other parts of the state?

I think AD's have just realized that success at another program doesn't necessarily mean a whole lot. Coaches are worth more to programs they have won at than they are to prospective schools. Mullen is worth 4 million to nobody but State. Doubt you see many SEC coaches hired away unless it's a mutual split.

Notre Dame seems like a perfect job...if you want endless and annoying attention and the ease of success to expectation ratio seems unattractive to me.

Bama is not the 3rd best job thanks to nick Saban. Can you imagine having to be the next guy to take on the pressures of that fanbase after Saban leaves. Literally it will be crushing.

Maybe, but if I was a big time recruit I would have to look long and hard about living and playing in Southern California. If you go undefeated at USC, it's not like you are getting left out of the playoff and it would be a much easier task than doing that in say, the SEC.

Combine that with basically running the state of California recruiting base and I think it is definitely still a top 3 job.

I'd completely disagree with your assessment.

1. Alabama
2. Florida State
3. Oregon
4. Ohio State
5. Nebraska
6. Southern Cal
7. Florida
8. LSU
9. Notre Dame
10. Auburn
11. Georgia
12. Oklahoma
13. Notre Dame
14. Texas A&M
15. UCLA

Lol

Tennessee, Florida, FSU, USCe and Clemson all try to poach our recruits.

texas ain't the top job ... there's a reason they've won only 1 title in the past 45 years ... the money men don't want to get out of the way and let the coach run the program ...

Yeah, not sure what he is thinking. There are several B1G jobs that'd I'd take over Nebraska: UM, Ohio St., Michigan St., Penn St. of the top of my head.

If you had to start with a blank roster and current sanctions, what school would be the best job factoring in things like facilities, recruiting base, fan commitment, prestige, etc.

I think a "tiered" approach is more applicable to the call of the question.

Tier I
Alabama
Notre Dame
Ohio State
USC

Tier II
Florida
Florida State
Georgia
Texas

Tier III
LSU
Oklahoma
Michigan

Tier IV
Auburn
Penn State
Tennessee

Tier V
Oregon (money alone)
Nebraska
Texas A&M
UCLA

Tier VI
Clemson
Miami (recruiting base alone)
South Carolina

I know they have had a lot of success in recent years, but I don't understand why everyone thinks Oregon is such a great job. The state is 98 percent white and produces very few stud recruits. The best things they have going for them are Phil Knight's money and legalizing pot

I like this. Though, I would move Florida, Auburn, and Oklahoma up a tier.
